@@alaskaforever3879 In my opinion posting misinformation on food labels is 'shocking' and though not in this instance it 'could' be harmful to someone's health. For instance, if a nutrion label stated '300mg sodium' per serving and it should have stated '1300mg sodium, it would be detrimental to someone on a sodium restricted diet wouldnt it? Wouldn't that be considered a 'shocking mistake'?

These are both pretty decent choices in the single serving size. The family size versions take so long in the oven that you might as well cook from scratch and have real chicken.

So tempted to buy a 2-pound bag of rice at Dollar Tree and the cheapest chicken parts or whole chicken I can find… but I am almost carnivore now, so no. I think of that song from the old musical “Oklahoma!” when I hear about meat slurry, and parody it as “The Slurry Makes You Cringe A Lot.”

When I make my own "Chicken and Rice", I use white rice, Hormel White&Dark Chicken, Salt and Pepper. Nothing else. Clean and simple, the way I like it. Being disabled and mobility-challenged I can't go to a store and stand up to cut&cook whole chicken. The canned Hormels is good, real muscle-fiber meat. Not a faux-meat slurry concoction.

BAKED APPEARANCE: DITTO FLAVOUR: sounds like the Stouffers has ok taste but the crumb topping is not great The Marie C has better flavour despite being FMSC. That Stouffer's meal was my go to for a long time, either the family sized for a big meal or several smaller meals or the smaller size for a single meal I loved that one. Some times I'd add some shredded cheese to it a the end and mix it together to give it more cheese taste or just have it as is. Personally that Marie Callender's meal would never be bought by me because I loath broccoli and won't have it in my house. Neither is on my menu today since the vast majority of frozen or canned meals have too much sodium for my health to take any longer but I don't doubt if sodium wasn't an issue I'd still go through periods where that particular Stouffer's meal would be hitting my table multiple times per month if not per week.

Sup Larry, great review, never knew Stouffer's made this, I did have Marie's at one of my daughters house month or maybe two ago? They served with a roasted chicken thigh on top, asparagus on side, chimichurri sauce, I was fooled lol, saw boxes in garbage when cleaning up, they did the oven, rest was from scratch, I couldn't believe it because she picks on youngest daughter about processed food 🤷, husband had at work and liked it so I guess with fresh food makes bigger difference, even a disabled retired chef has hard time cooking rice, well I do lol, so was shocked her husband introduced this, love your work bro👊, tyvm tc 🍔🥩🥘

Chicken slurry chunks are typically more appetizing than other meat slirry chunks, probably because of being accustomed to mcnuggets and BK classic chicken sandwiches. Chicken slurry chunks have been part of my life since i was a baby. Press release: "Nestle [owner of the Stouffer's brand] said it is focusing on categories that support long-term business growth, including confectionary, coffee, ice cream, premium water and pet food." That doesn't bode well for the brand in the U.S. How can frozen meals not be a growth category in this economic climate? Sounds fishy.

In my whole 75 years have I EVER EATING THIS KIND OF THING. That is why I bam 75 with no diabetes, no heart disease, normal cholesterol, no scrips and maybe a check up every few years. blood pressure any 25 year old would envy. I know people do not listen, they do what is easy. But think of your budget, ten dollars can buy a LOT of fresh foods. And the carbs are cheap fillers that damage your body. I also grow a nice just right size garden and this year was a bumper crop of a REAL food that is one of the best things you can eat, pumpkins. And this is going on November and I am still picking. Take ten dollars and buy seeds for next year and cook something fresh without sugars and carb fillers. It is one thing to live and quite another to live healthy, and diet determines which it will be. You are what you eat.
