In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shows you a surprising opening line for Black against the White's aggressive chess opening, the Evans Gambit which happens after the following moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.b4.
The move that will shock your opponents is 4...d5 - Black is counterattacking White in the center instead of accepting the gambit with 4...Bxb4. This move creates a lot of threats and most your opponents will be confused!

Hi Igor, could you direct me to the game where Kasparov used both of his knights so effectively on the right side of the board. The left knight comes to f1?

Nice! At 4.07 can black play . . . h5 after white's h3? Similar idea to the Ruy Lopez Steinitz Defence?

Excellent surprise weapon to avoid white's preparation, since it's almost impossible to be as prepared as white when facing the Evans Gambit

After 5. exd5 Nxb4 6.O-O is the strongest move according to the computer and Yuriy Krykun's dynamic Italian course on chessable. Why leave this out?

@@cankercanison92What does O-O do? I'm not afraid of "strong" moves that contain no material threats. You won't know what to do after O-O, so why does it matter?
@cankercanison92
@cankercanison92 Жыл бұрын
@@yzfool6639 0-0 gets the king safe and now white is ahead in development. Black's e5 pawn is in trouble and will soon fall leaving white with the better centre. I don't see why anyone would want to go into this as black other than surprise value but if you come up against a decent player who can find this in a classical game then I don't like Black's chances.

I am ending unfortunately watching the wideo at its beginning because of the lack of time. Question: what about the movement Bd5xf7+ instead of retreating with the bishop on b3? Than Kf3xe5 a the play with white queen? If blak King do not take bishop f7 and is moving on e7, than movement Bxg8. , afterwards the white is playing c3 and has two pawns more than black and so on.
