Syphilis did not start in the US It started in Europe they found bones much older than the time The Americas were visited and those bones had syphilis

​@ForgottenLives I'm sorry. It's just not possible. Syphilis was most definitely found in ancient European civilizations. It would be impossible for indigenous peoples of the Americas to infect ancient European society. They blamed indigenous peoples because it was an STD and they understood that. What's really unsettling about British government still trying to push this idea, is that it means Columbus and his men assaulted the women. Also, Columbus didn't even land in the Americas. He landed in the Caribbean.

But... the article you posted contradicts your answer here. There are many theories. Only 1 that blames indigenous Americans. Following the time line of that theory, it's just not possible. They brought it and gave it to each other due to their horrible treatment of people. No one wanted to take responsibility, so they blamed everyone else. I'm sure Europeans of the time were happy to have a whole other group to blame. However, it was global in Colombus's time. That's why they knew exactly what it was.

Thank you for such a wonderful video! A lot of these stories were written by the enemies. The Borgias were not great people. However, i always felt Lucrezia gets the evil woman edit that so many did. She did what her father told her to do. She had no say. She was just a very young child when they begin accusing her of lewd behavior. Children don't commit acts, those acts are forced on them. As much as she was pregnant in her short life, it's highly doubtful she had the ability to commit any acts.
