The beginning of this match brought me right back to the start of Gordon/Andre in last year's ADCC final. While the Atos fighter came out tense, jumpy, and looking to intimidate with cheap slaps to the head, the New Wave fighter was calm as could be. You know a Danaher student when you see one.

oh shaddup meregali was a 4x GI world champion long before danaher lmao. 'U know a danaher student when you see one' all his students proceed to lose bar gordon ryan and 2 world class black belts in bodoni and meregali who were already amazing before XD. One day Kade ruotolo will join danaher and u will praise danaher for making him to no doubt lmao

@@estudante4015 he had no stand-up before danaher. He was not competing in nogi. Meregali choosing to train under danaher already proves danaher is a great coach, if not, he would've went elsewhere. @@REXAZOR you do realize meregali was a GI monster on his own. But please tell me what big names, tournaments he was competing in and winning before joining danaher in no gi. His no gi style is 100% different than his gi style. He’s literally using danahers system that we see Gordon use all the time. Stop being a hater. Meregali was a beast in the GI. Now he’s becoming equally as dominant in no gi. Go cry somewhere else 😂😂

Agreed. Lots of forecasts, from famous black belts here in Brazil, underestimating Meregali. Mostly because he talks 100 and delivers 1000. Way ahead of his game. Nothing is granted against Alemão! Maybe a tap out is likely 😂

honestly his mechanics and frames where so shit that there was no threat - he pulled to an outside ashi which literally gives a leg drag if you dont have your knee and a cross lat frame in front of the person on top. he missed everything. i think if he would have pulled/rolled inside the legs to an cross ashi (maybe with a victory roll as meregali was attacking the turtle) he could have initiated a much better scramble to end up on top or in an back take .but this was just not strategically smart. not saying i am better just thinking in a logical tactical aspect. @@af4396

If you think because Kaynan lost, it means Ruotolos also will, then you’re delusional.
@UnsilencedEra
@UnsilencedEra 8 ай бұрын
@@faizmahd8069I mean, he already beat Tye in ADCC 2022 suggesting that in 2022 he could beat him. He has improved his no gi since then as indicated by this match. Given those two facts, it would suggest that Tye has even less of a chance of winning now than in 2022. Since the probability of him winning in 2022 was technically zero (since they competed once and he lost), I'm struggling to see where the delusion is

Ruotolos have slightly higher than 0%, but definitely lower than 1% chance to win from Meregali. No dishespectch to the Ruotolos, but Meregali is just on another level in every layer; skill, brains, physical prowess and dedication.
@UnsilencedEra
@UnsilencedEra 8 ай бұрын
@@jimmyjam86 I understand that probability is a long form statistic, meaning if you wanted to produce an accurate probability, you need multiple data points. For example, Tye vs Nick competing 1000 times. It's obvious that we don't have that. The only data we have is one match. Anyone that knows anything about statistics knows that if you evaluate one data point that has two possible outcomes(i.e. a coin flip) the probability of one of the outcomes occurring is either 1 or it is 0. If you flip a coin 1 time and it hits heads, the probability you can calculate of it hitting heads is 1. Period. If you want a legitimate estimate (i.e. closer to .5) you need multiple trials. We don't have multiple trials for these two competing, so the only probability we can calculate from actual data is 0, obviously. The point of this is actually that OP was using the term chance in a colloquial sense and using hyperbole to express his point. He wasn't referring to some technically precise definition of how to calculate chance. But faiz either deliberately ignored this reality or lacked to social cues to realize that that is how people communicate in casual environments. So my discussion on this was deliberately obtuse in order to express why it's silly to judge OPs comment as if it was some assertion supported by data in a scientific journal. You seemingly have missed this as well.
