As someone who was called as a juror in a trial that lasted a week this year, I feel like I need to speak about the witness. If I was called to this trial, I wouldn't let her beliefs about the seance dismiss her entire testimony. I would be taking notes like crazy, but I wouldn't let that part make or break her as a witness. I feel like what she had to say about the treatment of quintin is still valuable and gives insight into this little baby's life. I'd also be watching the moms reactions as I did now. She looked smug. They thought it made her look not credible to the jury. I just don't see it that way. Is the a little strange? Yes. But I, as a juror, wouldn't dismiss her testimony.

Ironic the defendant told people little Quinton looked like his father, when in reality he looked very much like her. He had her exact same eyes, the poor, innocent little soul. Why was that abusive monster even having access to him, when she had lost custody to her grandmother??? It spoke volumes that so often we've heard he would put his arms up to various babysitters, asking to be picked up and comforted after his own mother's cruelty. If only all these witnesses who saw that witch abusing her baby, had reported her to child protection and the police. They might just have saved his life. Now it's too late. Both defendant and Quinton have the same mouth, the same features. I think there is a lot of self-loathing in play and hence the self-destructive behaviour. Quinton's need to feel love (which is normal for every child), him stretching his arms out for affection is a mirror of her neediness, albeit from her lovers. Uhh, judges aren’t concerned with the expressions a defendant makes unless the defendant is acting in a way to disrupt proceedings. They’re there to ensure proper legal procedures are followed and to make unbiased judgments as testimony and evidence are entered into the record. It’s in the interest of justice that the jury can see how contemptuous and lacking in remorse Leilani is.

Here's my thing as a mother and grandmother! If I was in her shoes, if I knew I didn't harm my baby, there's absolutely no way I could sit there stoic with no reaction whatsoever as there are talking about showing my babies bones!! There’s a few cases in the history of US courts where ppl have testified about “crazy“ spiritual/ghostly/other worldly things happening & the person on trial was still found guilty. As part of most jury instructions, the judge will tell them that they may discount ANY or ALL of a witness’s testimony. In a fairly famous historical case, a mother testified that her (murdered) daughter came to her in her dreams & told her she was murdered. This was after the autopsy was already over & daughter was buried. The coroner & sheriff either believed her enough to exhume her daughter‘s body or used this story to exhume her body & they found strangulation marks. Those strangulation marks, which would never have been seen w/out that exhumation. It led to them bringing charges against the husband of the murdered woman. The mother testified about the “ghostly dream” in her testimony. However, when the jury was asked if they actually believed this story - the all male jury said it didn’t matter if the ghost story was true or not, or if they believed it or not- the facts of the murder & who the murderer was-made sense! Even though she said something “crazy“ on the stand, they basically just ignored it & took the evidence that she brought as part of their deliberations. They listened to the logical stuff, regardless of their beliefs. I don’t think this witness was great, but I don’t think her testimony alone-will hinder the case. The evidence is clear as day.

I have spoken with the spirit of one of my friends fathers in a dream. I had never met him or even seen pictures of him. I didn’t even know anything about her dad bc she never spoke of him. I was able to see him & he told me to give her specifically a message. I kept it to myself for weeks bc I was so weirded out but finally told her about my dream bc the thought to tell her wouldn’t leave me alone. I warned her that it was going to sound absolutely crazy what I was going to share… She was bawling & told me his physical description & demeanor I gave her was EXACTLY how she remembered him. I gave her the message he asked me relay & it was at that time she told me he unalived himself when she was 4. It’s real. No coincidences are that specific. I’ve never had another encounter that i remember since.

@@MrBetc I watched the fbi agents testimony about finding and transporting Quentin and my heart broke into a thousand pieces but the rage I felt looking at that monsters face I didn’t know I was capable of feeling that way but seeing her grin and smirk and eat snacks in court and her whole demeanour filled me with rage,she’s truly an evil demon,I felt awful and so sad for the lady fbi agent you could tell her voice was breaking as she was speaking and it dawned on me just how many people have been truly affected by Quentin he’s touched so many of us and yet his demon mother just sits there unaffected,sorry for the rant I just hate seeing these little babies being hurt by the very people who are supposed to protect them from the world 😭

Yikes! If I were her defense team I would have spent A LOT more time working with her on looking innocent and likeable! I watch a lot of trials and she is one of the most unlikable defendants I've ever seen!! She just seems annoyed, bored or even offended by having to be there... Like the entire trial is ridiculous to her.... I can't wait to see her arrogant face when they read the guilty verdict! I am sure we will finally see some emotion from her then .... When it's her life they are talking about!!🙄 Defense Team- maybe work on changing your clients entire personality 🤣

I completely disagree that the witnesses’ after-death talk with Quinton totally discounted her. I think it was a big mistake for the defense to have her tell what Quinton’s spirit told her, though, because it’s so close to what very well could’ve happened,:and the landfill part brought to jurors’ minds. Had the defense wanted to harm her testimony, they should’ve left it at the request for Bible and candle, hoping it would lie there like a rotten egg.

The way that he tried to discredit the witness because of the seance was ignorant. What if they found out that there was a witness who whispered to themselves in order to talk to some man who had magic powers that allowed him to manifest alcohol, who could manipulate the world around him so that he could take a stroll on top of the sea, and who had, like those in The Walking Dead, came back to life? Would that attorney use it against that person? Or does that attorney have those same beliefs? Just because people have different beliefs doesn’t mean they should be discredited.
