i9-13900F. T30 installed and running at 3200(!) rpm inside Fractal Design Torrent. Ten seconds at 300W. Single run of Cinebench r23 scored 37,000 points. The longer the Furmark CPU burner ran, the lower the power. It stabilized at 230W. Not bad, but not shocking. 40% fan speed stablized at 210W, so I think T30 is an overkill.

On that open bech of yours, if both fans are in push, does this heatsink work with that? Those single tower ones that does, dramatically improve in performance. Some effectively performs as a dual tower, some even outperform their dual tower siblings, like the 92mm Noctua range of coolers. Your're literally not going with the flow, and this one, seems like a great one for just this style of flow. I just cannot tell, given that no one actually show or review the heatsink itself. Just a warning: If you get the physics of this, and learn how to apply it, there is no going back. Also, no one will believe you, and you will fight an uphill battle as you do not go with the flow. But the performance is awesome, and it is for free. Just saying.
@bishnooktawak8 ай бұрын
Do you mean both fans basically pushing air at each other through the tower? What physics is there to get, and what's the criteria for a tower to "work with that"?
@FrodeBergetonNilsen8 ай бұрын
@@bishnooktawak Simple. You do not stack heat. The warmest place inside the case, is at a heatsink exhahust. As for a single tower, a push-pull do not increase flow much, but a dual push will, for simplicty sake, double the flow. Also, the air will be cool, and heat up towards the center, again, simplified. The simple physics is, that you increase flow, and lower the temp of the air cooling. For a single tower to work with that, well, the air obviously need to be able to escape, without too much impedance. But given that you have double the flow, it can take quite a beating. If the side of a tower is too block out, the fins is shaped to work against such a flow, or if there simply is too much going on in the heatsink, read way too high a density of heatpipes, the cost of doing this, is not there. Airflow is impeded too much. And no. They push against each other, or they both pull, but the air enters through the fans, and exists on the side. I just reran some testing on the 92mm Noctua of mine. Flipping the fans like this, resulted in 3C reduction. As in about 3C cooler CPU, with the fans running the same RPM. In both cases, they were ducted. Also, for my ryzen 7700, I decided to run the slim 92mm fans, at 35% max, as I at that speed only lost 3W cooling capacity, as compared to running a single fan at 70%. Adding a second fan, I could reduce the cooling by 19% on the fan speed, and achieve a tad better cooling. That is not a great heatsink. I also run a D15 on a 7950x. I run it in that 145W eco mode, and the fans max out at about 800rpm for all cores at full throttle. That is using ducted 120mm fans. That is without shifting the cpu. As in why bother? I cannot even hear them fans, even if I try to. On that build, I need to drop the MB, as the MB is having a faint coil whine, that is way louder than the fans. It stays below 90C for all core. I don't use case fans by the way, as my designs do not need them. Long answer. But this is not a joke. It is real well known and proven physics. Just don't expect miracles from a poor heatsink with issues. Things like this only improves the temp of the air and a bit of flow, when it works. For the record a ryzen 7700 runs just fine at below 600rpm, full throttle, using my D15, again, without any shifting. It will then run at below 80C for all core. That is using the worst power virus I could find. I just ran a quick test of it. That is at 90W package power. This will be my last post in any comment section about this, before I start posting my own work. These are the numbers that will be in my videos. If you didn't get the memo. 0 case fans. Ducted CPU running at max 600. Ducted GPU running at max 800rpm. Semi passive PSU, that hardly ever spins up. I short, I cannot hear the thing. Been running this for two years now. Nobody seems to belive me, or rather, everyone seem to not be able to understand how it works. But it does. And it is bloody basic. So in short, I am about to release the most quiet cases there is, on the market. I have been sharing in public, over and over again, how this works, in comments like this. So when people finally gets the memo, "in the comments" sort of will get a new meaning. Particularly when it comes to dual tower coolers, because no one ever thought about this, even when informed about it, is just flat out embarrassing. Just for the record, I used to run a 3950x, at about 150W, as in stock, and I think the fans ran at about 800-900rpm back then, with no real throttling. Again, no case fan. Just to be clear, the fans are ducted. Just ordinary paste. So no. No one will pick up this comment either. Only when my first customers actually use the my work as intended, they will finally get the message I guess. If that is what it takes, it will be embarrassing for the entire industry. That is a lot of post over the years. Not to mention that this is basic physics, and applied all over the place for water cooling. Last post. Then the ship sails. Not doing it this way again. PS! Writing this sitting right next to my PC. I cannot hear the computer, as the snoring of my dog over powers it. Just the way I want it. Love that dog. Also, when he snores, I still cannot hear it. I my own breath is over powering the PC noise. Still sitting right next to it. It is that bad. This seriously works. People are just too slow. As I said. Last post.

Can an 14700k be aircool with this one WITOUT THERMAL THROTTLE?
@samstrand906 ай бұрын
He's got a 14900K on show in the video and it doesn't thermal throttle at 300w. Stock wattage for the 14700K is 253w. So no you shouldn't.
@kinzie39156 ай бұрын
@@samstrand90 So let me make this straight. His video shows 10 seconds long Cinebench runs so cooler isn't able to get fully saturated. I have bought ARGB version of this cooler and it can handle up to 250w. Anything more than that.. will thermal throttle. This video is as fake as it can be.

Is it compatible with intel i7 9700k

Now the question I have is if it can continually cool 200W with p12 max fans while staying somewhat silent.
@kinzie39156 ай бұрын
It probably can but cpu would be running really warm and cooler will be loud. I would go for the PS120 or 240mm+ liquid cooler if you want it stay silent. Best bet is Freezer III 360 for 76 bucks from their official site.

How does this cooler rank in your recent testing of 22 air coolers? I am planning a i7 14700K build for Photoshop and Lightroom. Would you use this cooler in a similar build?
@reinulf6568 ай бұрын
Honestly I think it would be slightly underpowered for a 14700k. Of course it would work and nothing would break as thermal throttling doesn't destroy things.

Arctic is here to disrupt the PC cooling industry lmao I've got an Arctic Freezer 34 Duo eSport on my 14700K that can keep it 2℃ cooler at idle than my Corsair H150i Elite LCD 360mm AIO!!! Imagine!?!? I've also got their Liquid Freezer 2 which outperforms every other cooler I've tried. If it wasn't for the LCD screen I would use the Freezer 34 Duo. I'm the guy who buys different components and tinkers around with their PC like car guys do to their engines lol

There's very little reason that you *need* an AIO. If you don't know what those reasons are, then you almost certainly don't need one.

No way P12 Max are more quiet than P12, my max fan produces resonance hum noise but also sometimes bearing whine, P12 also had this hum but supposedly Arctic fixed this with most recent revisions of both fans which this cooler uses.

GPU manufacturers: "Who cares about being price competitive. Lets just push things to +1000 USD and see what sticks" Air cooler manufacturers: "What if we made the best air cooler and sold it for 30 bucks? Lmao that'd be hilarious right" - then unironically goes out and does it
