To fix your knee pain - look OUTSIDE your knee joint. The only time quad strengthening is a part of the root cause fix is patellar Tendonitis - so the caveat to this post is if your a young jumping athlete with tendon pain. Otherwise most knee pains are not directly related to weak quads. . Shout out @muscleandmotion for the anatomy graphics, @aliceejane with the leg extension demo.

I have a question, when doing RDL’s, why do I feel my left leg feel like it’s doing more of the work?
@user-sr5cj3bx8l13 сағат бұрын
what about knee osteoarthritis?
@what941813 сағат бұрын
@@user-sr5cj3bx8lI have that... my PT told me to do very slow half squats amd keep my knees within my toes. But to me it feels like a slight hinge forward and knees over toes, making sure the load is evenly distributed on my feet and doing low bar squats seems to take a lot of load off my knees. In fact, doing what my PT adviced seems to hurt more. Also I'm working on knee stretches, slow, paused squats, hamstring curls and leg curls, but in very small jumps in load. Seems to keep the pain low but not away. So I'm a bit puzzled by my PTs advice. Should it relieve the pain after a while or does it lead to more tendon infections. I really like squatting though, so I'm not into giving that up.

this channel taught me that all my problems are in my core muscles and my hips, it's amazing how a simple exercise can change everything just by activating the correct muscles

Yes! I used to experience pain in one knee after all my workouts. I started doing a workout that included the side plank and also a 30-minute barre workout once a week. As my side plank got stronger and my ankles got stronger I no longer have any knee pain. My knees feel soooo strong!

I completely vouch for this. You had a video of a guy doing some hip flexor strengthening which allowed him to run without knee pain. I had the same problem and do that exercise every leg day and I can now squat without knee pain.

Nordic curls are the key to knee strength and stability not quads, not ankles. Most people's quads are overtrained as well. Gotta hit the hams more.

I think its actually cozy when someone thinkers with your body like that, like not in a sexual way. Its just feels like a caring mechanic trying to look for and fix the bodily problem.

Yes! When Nick worked with Dom in the off season he got some of his best results! It’s a shame that Nick (allegedly) ghosted coach Dom when he went back to Matt . Great to hear that all these athletes are looking for a more focused coach now 👏

I went to a running-specialty orthopedic doctor for knee pain and they in fact did diagnose it as a hip problem, saying my knees were moving "inward" too much on each stride. The muscles on the outside of my hips were weak and not doing enough to keep my legs in line. They also recommended squat walks with a resistance band around my lower leg/feet.

@falconpunch63608 сағат бұрын
I've had bad knee pain in right knee, only 35, got it from bad squat form. ive done tests and its certainly not torn. so maybe the new pain lies in my incredibly stiff and not mobile hips and ankles. have ankle pain a lot too so it would make sense. Does anyone know more shorts like this from him, as the problems in thbis video are exactly like mine. thanks.

You'd have fun figuring me out. A vehicle accident caused issues with the left leg and back in 2013, I've has sciatica for years longer than that and 1 of my many accidents as a kid caused a pelvic break I knew nothing about until 2016. Add that to the other joints and arthritis and POW somedays, I can't walk, most days it just hurts.

And how does one find out if the ankles are the cause for the instability?
@luker.655544 минут бұрын
Try that test to see how much anke flexion you have by putting your knee against the wall and seeing how far back you can place your foot flat on the ground. Ideally you'd have a round a fists distance between your toes and the wall. Just search it on this channel. Lots of info about ankles.
