In round 1 of 2019 Im a bulldogs fan so in round 1 I went and bont marked the ball right in front of me, he was about 1.5 meters away from the boundary and then i hear boo’s throughout the marvel and see sydney with the ball so I started as well. (I also have anger issues)

I don’t remember which year this was in, but definitely 2019 season or closer to current date. There was a match between I think Essendon and Richmond, where it was extremely wet, everyone was slipping over, nobody could mark, and obviously, the kicks for the most part were never drop punts and always went in a direction the players didn’t intend. The amount of deliberate out of bounds given to both teams were insane. I always thought maybe umpires grew up playing the sport and love it enough that they want to stay a part of the culture or something? Last few years it’s dawned on me that they’ve probably never played it. Only in it for the paycheck, which is fine but that drastically affects their decision making and ability to determine what a player is intending to do. Basic logic.

Lots of fans simply don't understand how holding the ball. If a player gets the ball and is immediately tackled and attempts to get rid of immediately it's not holding the ball. The Moore decision was correct.

Take a gander at the last moment before Port Adelaide & West Coast played overtime before WC won the GF the week after. The WC player beside the point post pushed the ball out of bounds. It should have been a free kick to Port. What's more in the overtime play, Luke Shuey ducked & dropped to get the free. He makes a habit of ducking but the umpires continually let him get away with itr.
