@@JamieMPhoto I'll admit, I think Portra is over-rated. I don't love anything I've shot with it yet.

@@RunNGunPhoto Actually, I really only like Portra 800, and 160 sometimes (usually just in lage format). I do like it more with extreme attention to properly recreating the color in just the right kind of lighting, but I have the hardest time getting anything I like with Portra 400. I do, however, LOVE the older versions of Potra.

Just WOW. This time it was very difficult for me, choosing my favorites. All are amazing. After some deliberation, my favorites of this episode are: 1 - 3 -4 -5 -12 - 13 - 15 - 17 - 18 -20 - 22 - 25 - 36 - 38 -40 - 48 - 50 - 52 - 53 - 55 & 62. My top five from the first part are: 25 - 12 - 13 - 4 & 3. And from the second part are: 55 - 62 - 53 - 40 & 48. I really like both looks, the aesthetic is very pleasing on the first one. But The second one is my favorite, not just for the color, it feels very elegant, highlights her natural grace. And the cut of the dress is magnificent.

I like the emphasis on how film relieves you of getting hung up on gear. I haven't shot a full photoshoot on film yet, but I'm jealous of how freeing it sounds!

Yeah! It was a little unnerving at first to not have the safety net, but I got used to the results and it's really nice not to have to take constant "Let's see the shots" breaks.

I agree completely. While having those "instant results" with digital can be useful, I find i get too distracted analyzing every photo I take instead of staying present in the moment.

Definitely! I like to be able to check a photo here and there, but it's definitely not worth the distraction and the potential prejudice against shots because they didn't instantly match my expectations. I have so many old photos I thought were trash that are actually pretty decent. Thank you!

Awesome!! I recommend it! The color balance on cross-processed E100 is trickier, but Negative Lab Pro handles it like a champ, especially with that Cinestill light. Hopefully I don't make you regret the trade. 😅

Thank you! Film can be destroyed in an instant of the wrong chemical or light flashing, but it's also so resilient at the same time. It's so possible to do all kinds of things "wrong" and still get something interesting.
