Desperate Measures is one I saw when it was first on HBO, back when HBO was the KING of cable movie providers. OUTSTANDING recommendation, I followed Keaton from then on because of his performance. Suicide Kings is tantamount to Eddie and the Cruisers in terms of arising from DVD release. And, The Covenant tells a story that's still ongoing from Afghanistan. Totally agree on both A Prophet and Flight, BOTH certainly deserve far more appreciation. And Moon... chef's kiss.

One point: for Destroyer, you say something about how it's directed by a director that doesn't get enough love, but then you don't follow that up by telling us his name. Always appreciate your recommendations sir! This time I've seen most of them which allows me to agree wholeheatedly with your top 3 (I enjoyed Flight as a Denzel movie, but think I might have put The Covenant in 3rd, because I saw that one as the American government was being slammed for abandoning its translators to their fates, and found this flick to be particularly poignant. The Devil's Double was BRILLIANT, and made me a HUGE fan of Dominic Cooper (a fandom reinforced 5 years later with the "Preacher" TV series.) He (and Jack Reynor) should be in everything by now!! Criminally under exposed young actors. (New agents needed ??) But your number one in this list has been in my top ten since I first saw it when it first aired. It isn't easy for an actor to carry the full weight of a film on his shoulders alone, but Rockwell does exactly that. An absolutely career defining performance in a film with a devastating (yet understated) final act. You can put it as your number one as often as you like...I'll be cool with it every time (unless you also include a Terry Gilliam movie on the same list...because most of them are always #1without exception).

Flight was NOT a super-high budgeted film, by the way…Zemeckis has been able to bring in a lot of his more recent films for budgets ranging from $30 million (for FLIGHT) to about $45 million (last month’s HERE) largely because he is a careful, non-flashy filmmaker and big stars often take smaller paychecks to work with him (Denzel only got $4 million, and an Oscar nomination for FLIGHT)

Having to comment here because you switched off comments on your almost perfect movies now available here on youtube. Watched the clip last night. Tried three movies today, all of them gone. As a matter of interest, how much time between you posting a video about free films and those films being deleted. On average.
