This is a master. His mastery of the blade is unmistakable. The taught method today is lacking. I have practiced for 30 years. The new way is lacking. They teach in a way that is acceptable for honor. It has never been about honor, it is about drawing the sword in a way that puts all others at a disadvantage. Skilled swordsman are a dying breed. Ikeda Takashi was my master. I learned most form him from 1995 to 2000. He was the last of a dying breed. But I hope my skills learned by him will continue his tradition...

I see he uses the Kendo Renmei ochiburi - the "give yourself a haircut" move. It was popularized after WW2.

This sensei is Tooru Noda 8th dan hanshi, the koryu it is Muso Jikiden Eishin ryu iaido from Tosa lineage.
