I think I say this on a lot of your videos, but as a target employee your mentions of target make me happy and also makes me aware of how often I’m at work because I can tell which pieces are from target as soon as you hold them up without you saying anything yet lol A tip about clearance: If find something in clearance that you love but your size isn’t in store, ask! We have handheld devices that allow us to order things for you online with free shipping (usually 2 day), and a lot of time we still have stock of clearance items online. I believe if you order with us in store because it counts as that stores purchase you get the clearance price that store has. Also mossimo has been discontinued for about a year! Sorry ☹️

I wish Target would do something about the temperatures in their fitting rooms. I am not sure if all the stores have this problem, but I just get too hot trying on clothes and I always end up only trying on a couple of pieces before I give up and leave. The employees have always said that the corporate office handles the setting, but that's no good. At least put in separate controls for the dressing rooms.

Jessica, as a person who has suffered through plantar fasciitis which is very painful, you have to buy shoes with more arch support and stronger sides. Target shoes, particularly the flats don't do that. My mother always taught me, quality before quantity and then the things you buy last longer and look better. The other thing I've learned is that if the shoes hurt you or rub in the store, you can't " break" them in, they DON'T fit!! You'll save your feet and money in the end.

I am a advocate for buying quality footwear. I tried bought a pr of shoes at target and tried some on and they were just awful. That said... yes.... some shoes do very much break in. Especially things like boots, something that is a little stiff to start will stretch out and soften as you wear them (but that's like foot fit, not how comfortable the footbed or straps are)

Real leather will indeed stretch. Brands such as Frye and the Italian leather Ugg boots will last a lifetime and only need sole replacement. However I agree with you, Quality over quantity. Cheaper flats are PAINFUL, I refuse to buy Target flats but some target boots have real genuine leather alhough that was in the past, havn't seen them as of lately.

Hi Jessica, just wanted to let you know that you should check with a shoe cobbler or shoe repair shop before you get rid of the boots with the worn heels. You might be able to save the boots you like instead of replacing them. Hope this helps. 🙂

DSW has a great program where you can donate your used shoes and they will give you points that you can use towards new shoes. I never throw my shoes away anymore I just head to DSW. Absolutely love it!

If the Teva’s don’t work out for you for what you want, try chacos! They’re aren’t as aesthetically pleasing but they are amazing. I have hiked volcanos, mountains, ruins, you name it. They are my go-to shoes. I wear them pretty much everywhere. I paid about $100 10 years ago for mine and they are still in great condition! I am currently going on vacation and they are the only shoes I’m packing!

dude chaco's are so good, I worked at camp this summer and everyone wears them because they are so durable and they work for every activity, I'm talking about river float, mud pit, nature hikes. It's a very good investment.

I have 2 pairs of Karrimor walking sandals (in the same style as Jess) for the theme parks and they're adjustable, so they're super comfy! They're lined with neoprene. I could walk miles in them, and never get sore feet. They dry well if they get wet too. I can't stand sneakers for the parks, as my feet literally feel like theyre on fire in the Florida heat!

lindsey bailes I ordered my first paid offline. I say they’re pretty true to size. I have a 6 in chacos and am usually a 5.5 or 6. My mom is a 7.5 but got an 8 because there aren’t half sizes, I think. I know that places with hiking stuff has them. I’ve seen them at Gear Head!

I find if my shoes have become a half size too big because they’ve stretched or I bought the wrong size, then slipping in a thin leather insole just makes them perfect again:-)

TOMS are definitely washable! Maybe take the insole out and hand wash those, but the shoe can go in the washer. You can then air dry them if you’re worried about shrinkage (teehee), but I’ve put mine in my dryer. It’s made my favorite TOMS last years longer than advisable. 😬

I love my UGGS! I waterproof them (using spray) every winter, and I've had mine for years and years. My black short chunky tread ones I've had for about 10 yrs now, and I have them in beige too. I also have denim blue Bailey Button ones with a snowflake on them. If you care for them, they last for years, so they're a great investment! (I live in a cold country, so I get lots of wear out of mine).

Jessica, I am a 6 1/2 size shoe. So when there are only whole sizes, I have to buy a size 7. I will usually have to put in a foam insert plus a heal protector if needed. You might could do the same for your shoes from when you were pregnant. Also, I found a wonderful Italian shoe repair man in my area (first generation) that does beautiful work on my shoes if they need new soles or anything else fixed. I used to have a shoe "problem" until I did huge declutter, and now I have three drawers on rollers under my bed that holds ALL my shoes. If they don't fit in there, than I can't keep them!😱💕❤💖

You can wash TOMS! I’ve washed mine multiple times and they wash wonderfully. Maybe you could take the second pair of booties to a cobbler? They would be able to re-heel them for you if you still like them.

I can't wear cheap plastic shoes because my feet hurt very easily and I have a very narrow foot, so I don't own that much because my shoes are usually quite expensive. @@minalevine8870 I let them air dry, but I'm sure putting them in the dryer would be fine as well. I washed them with other dark items (mine are black) on cold water. I had previously washed my fabric Skechers successfully, so no fear!

Yes, machine wash and air dry. Those are the instructions to care for them. I machine dried a pair once and it was awful.

Jessica! I’m a college distance runner and I definitely recommend that you get brooks shoes. Nike shoes do not have enough support if you are running a lot of miles and it’s easier to get injured. The ones I run in are the brooks adrenaline. they are so supportive and nice for my feet and I highly recommend them!! ❤️❤️

You can totally wash Toms! Just be sure to air dry. My linen Toms seemed to shrink a little in the wash, but they stretched back out after a few wears. 👍

You shouldn't need to break in shoes for very long. I know you are trying to buy shoes at a good price but you might need to invest in a few higher end shoes, possibly real leather. I wore cheap shoes for a long time and my feet paid the price. I only buy shoes if they are comfortable right away and I usually stay away from plastic or material does. Leather stretches and breathes. I've learned I'd rather have less shoes that fit well.

The sandals you bought for Disney are cute I found a pair just like that from Adidas and I love them. They are so comfortable and they're just waiting for our next Disney trip!! DFB(AJ) swears by Teva's and wears them all the time in Disney. If you still have the Tom's/Nikes put them in a pillow case with a rubber band closing it and throw them in the wash. I do that all the time for cloth shoes, it works great(and take the laces out of the Nikes before you wash).

I am NEVER without a pair of my UGG Pure boots! I put them on as soon as Fall hits because I always have cold feet and the wool keeps your feet comfortable and not too hot or cold. You keep your UGGS!

I don’t know if you ever venture into Stouts Footwear on Old Meridian, but they have a surprisingly fantastic selection of brands like TEVA, Birkenstock, Sorel, Keen, UGG, etc. Take your shoes that are a suede or nubuck & take a suede brush (or a clean nail brush), sprinkle cornstarch on any areas where they have gotten wet (e.g. the toe on your tan uggs) & scrub it into the shoe- going WITH the grain. The cornstarch absorbs any oil in the material & the bristles stand the nap back up. This gets rid of the gross shiny areas that appear to be a different color from the rest of the shoe. If you have a salt line, use either a clothes steamer or a tea kettle & steam the areas with the salt stains. This time, you want to wet your brush & put some elbow behind it! The steam makes the material porous which allows the water into something "waterproof" so you can make them look like new. After any type of cleaning, stuff either newspaper or paper towels into the shoe to help it hold it’s shape as it dries. Last step...MAKE SURE you already have a can or 2 (for Tyler’s shoes also) of a high end waterproofing spray & follow the directions to the T! Since a nail brush & cornstarch is literally less than $2 at the store, put money into a waterproofing spray sold at Cabela’s or online by the brand itself. Also, for your striped flats that are loose, you can always grab silicone pads at a drugstore or Meijer that go under the ball off your foot &/or an adhesive piece that sticks to the back of the heel of the shoe. That way they are invisible, provide cushion, but most importantly they add some grip for your feet as well as make it fit more snugly. I find them most often at CVS in either the hair band aisle (weird, I know...they are with the "Hollywood Fashion Secrets" like dress tape, emergency kits, etc. of the Heidi Klum fashion things) or they are actually with foot care in the pharmacy area, or an end cap in Target/Walmart. I have MULTIPLE pairs that I have pulled the backing off of & stuck into the shoes I know I kneed the extra cushion or to be more secure. Last thing, if you like Brooks & need extra arch support, you might look into Saucony’s. I did the same run test & I pronate my feet terribly unless the inside of the sole is dense. I love that they do lot’s of grey’s & off whites with just a hit of color. HauteLook has them for insanely low prices sometimes! Love you guys, all the usual to follow..🤗💜😘🐾🦋
