@@mrcrabowski everyone forms some kinda sexual preference along the way. It could be early on. Regardless that whole it's not a choice, is from maybe 10, 20 years ago. Look up what people are saying about sexual preference. It's a proud "choice" now. I personally never thought people were born a certain way. But peoples sexual preferences/fetish don't exactly seem like a choice they just kinda fall that way based on experiences. That's why messing with kids heads in school the way they are doing it, is pure evil. "Study estimates trans youth population has doubled in 5 years". At this point those kids definitely wouldn't call it a choice, it's a path they are definitely going down. But many change thier mind of course. Studies have reported higher rates of desistance among prepubertal children. A 2016 review of 10 prospective follow-up studies from childhood to adolescence found desistance rates ranging from 61% to 98%, with evidence suggesting that they might be less than 85% more generally.

And that's how I knew for sure I was straight. You can think someone is attractive and good looking without wanting to be in a relationship with them. What tf are these people on??
@JohnA...2 жыл бұрын
Its natural for anyone in a species that has sexual competition to be able to pick out others who are competition, additionally for us being able to appreciate things outside of ourselves such as art, effort, and yes natural beauty that we can look at another person and understand they are are an attractive member of that sex even if we aren't attracted to them. Though I'll say this is mostly just that drive for competition and those who say "everyone is beautiful" typically fall under the same type that refuses to put in effort themselves to be competitive.
@blitzdactyl2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnA... Yeah, some people are naturally pretty while some are not. Likewise, some are talented in a certain given field while others fall behind. Anyone can recognize when other people are doing well in an area of life, even those who rule that said area. You won't see great musicians downplaying other musicians just because the great musician is looked upon as the "greatest". That becomes a matter of ego rather than human nature.
@JohnA...2 жыл бұрын
@@blitzdactyl When it comes to talent you don't typically see the best putting down others, that could be because they don't see competition in them and therefor they aren't a challenge to their "rule" of whatever they are the best at. It seems even more that this is the case for those who might have some talent but did have to work hard to get where they are, people who work really hard tend to see hard work in others as well and respect it. But the contrary is also true that many of them also don't look at those who refuse to put in any effort as doing their part to be something, maybe not fully out of malice but because they think that others could do something if they put in that effort. But you do see "powerful" people do this, people who don't have actual talent or didn't get their power in a way that they had to better themselves for, those types see competition in everything, they see that there are others who have talent who would easily outdo them so they have to keep putting others down and holding people back in any way possible so they can keep power. Anything that takes away the attention and privilege they have is a negative to them and needs to be stopped.

I'm a bi dude, and similar. I'm probably about as sexually attracted to guys as women, and frankly, most of my sexual experiences are with guys. But overall, it's extremely hard to find a guy I'd want to go the distance with romantically. So it's easier if I just put straight on dating apps. Otherwise, I get inundated with guy profiles, and matches with guys and nothing else, like the algorithm starts pigeonholing me as super gay because it's easier to get me matches that way. Like, if dating apps could stick to a balance, I'd be fine, but they dont. You start matching a bunch of guys, and not a lot of women (in part because straight women are generally way pickier who they match with), it basically teaches the algorithm youre straight up gay.
@hatman48182 жыл бұрын
Also, if you wanna know why LGBTs pick on Bis... It's because THEY care... Way more than they should... On the same level of religious people caring way too much what others do in the bedroom, a massive hipocrisy. They've been raised on identity politics, and so, for many, their entire personality revolves around sexual and gender identity... As if any of those things can ever make up for a crap personality. Getting treated like dirt by other LGBTs is the main reason I dont consider myself liberal anymore, but rather a moderate. I've seen the direction the left goes, eating eachother over concepts of intersectionality rather than teaming up and solving the few big systemic problems still left in our country. As a straight man who has been in a monogamous relationship with my bisexual wife for almost eight years I appreciate shoe drawing attention to this. The fact that anyone would ever try to argue for the validity of "MAPs" and in the same breath claim that bisexuality is invalid just shows exactly how delusional and warped people are now. Edit: just to clarify my bisexual wife married me (a man) and she is still bisexual, the fact that we plan on spending our lives committed to solely each other does not change her sexuality nor does it mean I magically "turned her straight". I love how the narrative was to accept everyone and the more we lean into that as a country the more bigotry surfaces from the ones trumpeting acceptance the loudest.

It’s sadly true. One of my best friends in the world is bi. She’s had periods she thought she was straight and periods she thought she was gay, and it took a lot of figuring out for her. Sadly whilst I’ve seen her get a heap of support from either camp she mostly just got distrust and dismissed when she finally came out as bi. Like ‘oh so it was a gay phase’ kind of thing, or she’s had guys freak out when they found out she’s previously slept with women either because they fear she’s a closet gay, or because they feel like they won’t be as good in the bedroom (newsflash every woman in America has a vibrator and they still have sex with their partners). Fortunately she’s been with her current partner for years now and they’re fully committed so people don’t sweat it anymore but yeah shit was crazy, it would really upset her sometimes. I remember when she had her first boyfriend in forever and they were living together everyone just totally dismissed her as ‘straight again’ - in her own words ‘when all the porn you watch is boobs, and you have boobs, you’re not straight.’

The problem sounds like a misunderstanding of different perspectives. If you view sexual attraction as utilitarian, then being bi sounds like self gratification is taking president over function. It's like thinking a stripper is hot, while knowing the girl at church would make a better mother for your children. It's how you make that decision. At least from what it sounds like the parents perspective is here. This is very common. You can disagree, but it's easier to take when you understand how the perspective it's coming from is different from yours. Everybody has their own perspectives, and that's ok. Understanding and accepting other perspectives, even when we disagree, is the way.

I'm a bisexual girl and the only 'relationship' I've been in was with a girl. I was 14 and I honestly don't even know if you can really call it a relationship but I remember going through the city, holding my gfs hand and suddenly an old guy drove by us on a bike, spit at us, and called us dykes. My then gf is a lesbian, why is she allowed to 'take back' the slur and I'm not? I don't get the logic... My mom always told us that she didn't care if we brought a boy or a girl back home, as long as they are a decent human being. When I told her I was bi she started telling me that it's only a phase and that I'll make up my mind one day... And last weird thing I got for being bi, is that the moment someone knows your prefrence, they start to over analyse it. I prefer men and as soon as my lgbt friends foud that out they immidiatly wanted to know exact numbers and shit. When I told them I found a girl attractive they asked me if that number changed etc. Why is it so important to other people? @JohnA...2 жыл бұрын
It stopped being about sexuality or "right to love" when it went beyond the first 3 letters. After that in the mainstream it was attention, constantly adding more because others saw what attention they could demand with it, as well as normalizing their own situations. And of course it was going to get to fighting, not only are the new kids constantly taking away the attention but they don't all believe the same thing because it isn't about "right to love" anymore its about "what can I be today that will get people to notice me with no effort" or how can I demand people accept my disorder/mentality as "normal".
@maxmercurythemm8272 жыл бұрын
@@JohnA... You nailed it. No matter how many of them they say there are, the LGBTANDTHEREST community is that, a minority community. Except now, they are not fighting for their right to do what they want (for the most part, they already have that), but whining "boo hoo oppression"; because, even with all those letters and sub-communities added, it's still a minority community and not "the norm" (Not even counting the "if you don't date me you're Xphobic" types). Adding to that is that a vocal chunk of the group is boiling with hatred for the "patriarchy" or the "cis white men". I won't get started about how transgenderism is a completely separate issue from the rest and how sex isn't a sexuality, so the community started getting mainstream and bastardizing itself at the same time.

My wife is bi despite only ever having sex with me. It isn't that she is straight because she hasn't slept with another woman, it is that she hasn't had a chance to sleep with another woman because she believes in the "do on to others" rule and doesn't like cheaters. My brother is gay despite never sleeping with anyone. Just because you haven't sleep with someone doesn't mean your sexual preference changes. As a straight guy I've always thought the meaning of the LGBTQI+ community was to show solidarity to each other, you know, "we're marginalized, oppressed, isolated, let's band together to support each other and fight for our rights to live a normal life". Basically a temporary solution to eventually obtain "normality" status in the eyes of the people that just can't let other people be what they are and don't consider them "normal". So the LGBTQI+ community was supposed to fight so that one day, they don't need to be a community any longer. But it's clear to me even them don't escape an awful human trace, of ganging together and and make it about "us vs them". And once that happens, then the fight for "exclusivity" begins internally. It's unfortunately that this is exactly what ruins communities born with a real goal. For the LGBTQI+ Community, now is "you're not gay enough". It's sad. Especially for those of them who don't fall for this crap. Must be frustrating to see the solution becoming part of the problem.

I am so glad not living in america. I recently started being open about being bi (not by making it my fucking identity, but being honest about it when asked or in the rare situation of LGBTQ and trans being topic of a conversation), and I almost never got any problems. Usually it's something among the lines of "Huh, didn't expect that." or "Nice that you are so open about it!". The only time I got a literal "Why don't bi people just choose?" was when my neighbor, a rather uneducated woman, was low-key annoyed by the best friend of her daughter having a "bi-phase". When I told her, I was bi too, she got seriously uncomfortable, trying to backpedal on that statement while stuttering like some embarassed anime character. She never talked to me again except of a fake-friendly "hello" when we met outside.

These are the kind of people that follow “trends” and think it’s funny to make fun of other marginalized groups but wouldn’t dare say a word to them outside their little phones. On a side note,I think that not everyone should know your sexual orientation,meaning that it’s not necessary to say every person on the street you’re bi. Chances are the vast majority of people couldn’t care less and don’t HAVE to know that about yourself. Find a group of people you’re comfortable with and that appreciate you for who you are, then telling them you’re bisexual will be just another thing they know about you,not your entire personality in their eyes.

I really appreciate this video, as a bi man I am told these kind of things all the time, and it just leaves me incredibly frustrated. Even though I live somewhere where the big gay is accepted, I often find that I have to hide the fact I'm bisexual. I never tell a man or woman that I'm into that I'm bi, and found it to be much easier to just never truly reveal it until way later. If they know, they just assume that I flirt with and want to bang every person that has a pulse. Even maintaining friendships are a pain because some of them get the assumption that I want to bang them. The thing that bothers me the most is that people who know say something along the lines of "You're really masculine for a bi man", as if being bi or even full blown gay makes a man less masculine. It's annoying how both men and women will treat me like "manly man" or "bro" until they discover my sexuality. Then they don't know what to do. It just angers me to no end. No matter what I do or say, I'm either straight but wants attention, gay but not fully committing, or I refuse to pick a side.

My ex gf slut shamed me because I dated a man one year after we broke up. Accused me of cheating several times. Ironically she's bi and has been with way more men than me. Logic. It's not there.

Monogamous bis for life! I'm the same way, took my wife a while to figure out that attraction doesn't mean insatiable desire lol. But I love het and only want to spend my life with her. So here's to the Monogamous Bis!

This is a good take when you need to (or not) respond to the people in video about trust... if a bi guy is with their woman and gonna stay with them (assuming they both are monogamous), that's the definition of trustworthy and reliable, right? Like idk what these people are thinking. I want to believe most are joking but it's so dumb

It's so absurd. My ex had a friend couple who were completely fine with me until they heard from somewhere that I identified as bisexual. A week or two later they told my boyfriend (when I wasn't present) that they felt uncomfortable around me because they didn't know which one I was trying to get with. Neither. I was trying to flirt with neither; it was a party at my BOYFRIEND'S home.

this type of biphobia is the reason i was so reluctant to label myself as bi for so long, especially because i have a preference for women anyway so i just felt it would be easier to call myself a lesbian. i felt like i wouldn't be accepted by my own community if i liked men. what has the world come to.

A community that wouldn't accept you as you are, even when you fit into what it was intended to cover originally, isn't one worth being a part of. Enjoy your life. Love who you want to love. I was in your same shoes before, and people have gotten mad that I'm now married to a man. No matter what you do someone is going to hate it.

Maybe they just arent your community. Im bisexual and i despise "the community"

Don't label yourself, enjoy life with whoever you like.

I think people who are not bisexual get uncomfortable with it because we don't want to date someone who's attracted to the same sex. Shouldn't be an issue for anyone though; personally, I just won't date bisexual people. Problemo solvo

Don't look for community in chronically online social circles or toxic dating apps. My cousin and my friend is bi, and we all have a blast hanging out together with our other queer friends. Your community isn't every toxic or hateful person that's LGBT, it's those that are accepting and willing to be your friend. As much as the LGBT community promotes acceptance and love, hateful and ignorant people will always exist. Hell just look at the LGB (Anti-Trans Queer group) and TERFs, they all associate themselves with groups of acceptance but hold so much hate and ignorance to others. Biphobic people are just ignorant, have internalized biphobia, or are possessive and toxic people in parasocial or romantic relationships. They believe in all the terrible myths about Bi people or they have their own insecurities about their identity.

When people ask my sexuality I say "I am a straight lesbian" and just leave them confused😅

I came out 22 years ago as bi and it's really sad to see that literally nothing has improved for us. No, wait, that's wrong -- IME straight people have gotten better. The rainbow alphabet squad has gotten more toxic. It seems like the more letters get added to the soup the pissier they get at the B.

The more letters get added the pissier they all get at most if not all the other letters. L's are just pissy by default really.

Nah dude that’s just the online L’s. irl L’s are the chillest people ever. Just gardening and making pottery and shit.

thats what happens when there is too much femininity
@TheRealJohnSolo2 жыл бұрын
Thats because their territory and victim status on the lowerarchy is getting challenged kinda like how Feminists were all about destroying masculinity and feminizing boys until boys started becoming girls and entering their space.

I was about to say things have improved since the 80s. But that's unfortunately no longer 20 years ago.
