Made in Japan and tested in Japan... Never will be manufactured or tested in China!

Shaquira-Taiquana Jashanna Tyteyana Patriciana Yoseline They're speaking japanese. Shoei helmets are made and tested in JAPAN! And even your top brands like Bell and FOX, AGV are made in China, but they go through quality control and homologations to be certified ECE, DOT.

A large area makes contact, but the blunt of the initial force is generally kept to a fairly small area. But I agree, this does just seem to be a puncture test.

When Shoei were testing the x-spirit 2 over 4000 shells were used. Out of those 4000 I'm sure they'd tested a flat surface too. Oh and this was tested from a height double what the EU testing body thinks will suffice for they're testing. So if you want to tell the world that one of the biggest helmet brands in the world have a fatal floor in the testing of they're helmets, maybe become a shoei technician so that you actually have a clue about what your on about. Just saying...

please test fire helmets from various brands and prices to find out which extinguisher helmet is superior when on duty

Yeah that is true, it just seems like this is more of a puncture test - thereby just testing the material rather than the helmet structure. Maybe that's what they're trying to do... If you look at a helmet that has been crashed in real life though, they don't have a little dot where it contacted the ground, the material is flexible, so as it crashes, a larger surface area contacts the tarmac. This video just shows that if someone hit you with an ice pick, you might be alright

tubeengineer you're no engineer, real engineer here you should know that on a flat surface this would distribute the load over a larger surface area so the force applied to the helm would be ALOT less than that of a point.

Better because there is smaller pressure because the force is coming from a larger area. Easy physics

A flat surface connecting to a rigid curved surface results in only one small point taking the majority of force.

A typical real world crash would involve a flat surface hitting the helmet, not a small point. I'd like to see how it would perform like that instead.

tubeengineer u can hit a sharp angle coming out of a pole or bridge the are simulating that cuz not always u'll be riding on track road and highway have these kind of object
@mmmmmmannnnnnn6 жыл бұрын
I know I might be a bit late for this but hitting with a point would be ALOT worse than hitting a flat surface as the pressure is what breaks the equipment that's why stress is measured in pascals. By hitting with a point you're getting a higher pressure with the same amount of force as P=F/A with A being area. If anything this would then be an over simulation of a real world example

Hahahah LoL many many time, try to crushed by tour bus including with the passenger, i' m sure your helmet and its contents (fake head) will shattered in pieces, today i still doubt that there is a helmet that can resist if crused by tour bus.. cause in real life i'm watching a dead man who had been killed by the tour bus , his head hollow and his helmet crushed.. sorry so many accident in the street and crushed by tour bus isn't a strange incident anymore
