Maru works in the neighbourhood of Polanco, in Mexico City. The area is well known for being one of Mexico's business and financial districts. Polanco has a lot of office buildings and skyscrapers. There are a lot of business people in this area who come to them to keep their shoes shined. Many people bring them high end brands to shine. I don't have the high end shoes, but I do have these cool cowgirl boots.
My cowgirl boots looked so old and dirty. Maru carefully applied a coat of white polish/paint. Now my cowgirl leather boots look so shiny and new. It is my first time getting a shoe shine from a female shoe shiner. I hope I can find more for you all to enjoy on my channel.

Having watched tons of shine videos, the only two I have seen are this lady and Serafin 👌🏻 Someone asked Serafin what the point was in doing them and his reply was that it was to cleanse the bacteria 👏🏻

A lot of shoe shiners started cleaning the soles either with soap or alcohol solution after covid hit the streets 🤪 as it is known, shoes have a high probability of carrying the virus. So it’s mostly to protect their own shoe shining station and themselves (as well as their clients). Notice how she also cleans the foot hold on her station after cleaning the sole! I’ve only started seeing shoe shiners do it for this reason

I mean this is shoe reconditioning isn't it? Not merely shoe shine. An amazing service. Usually you'd have to drop your shoes off at a shoe repair store or cobblers as we say in the UK, for this. Leave them there for week usually, then pay a fair bit for the service. I dropped off a pair of leather boots here in the US for cleaning and polishing etc. It took two weeks and cost me $60. These lovely shoe shiners do a great job. 👌 👍
