When I see these shoes, I can't stop thinking about Steve Prefontaine

When I run in these Nike trainers, it's like I'm wearing slippers, they are so light. Perfect for on tracks, not so good on roads to cross country.

Just found a pair in my mums garage. They would have been my dads. He once had the UK distance record for running 24hrs. Luckily we are the same shoe size. They aren’t mint condition but better than a slap around the face with a shitty stick.

How much are these shoes worth today in April 2022? Does anybody track the value of vintage nike shoes based on condition and rarity?

Seems odd that they have moved so far away from this minimalist model.

Why does Nike try to buy back their shoes
@jamiea20976 жыл бұрын
because they are smart and its a W either way for them , they are driving the price up and it looks good on the brand ,If items for nike are selling online for a few thousand $ it creates more demand for nike, If they won the bid themselves they could just sell the shoes at profit and could triple the money they spent if they wanted to, simply for the fact it was nike someone would buy the shoes for whatever price they re-sold them.
