While I was listening to the presentation, I cannot get over the fact that this man managed to speak to all of these different game developers and studios to get their unique characters in different genres with unique playstyles and somehow fit them in a Nintendo party brawl game. How the actual holy God's name can this man implement so many features and so much love and care for literally ALL of the characters and still have sanity, god only knows. Sakurai can do no wrong. I can imagine next Smash game, they reveal Mario's moveset, and he has all of his classic platforming moves as sort of command inputs. Jump out of crouch does a back flip that jumps higher than normal, dash into crouch jump does a long jump that keeps his running momentum, dash turnaround jump does the cartwheel jump, jumping after landing does his triple jump, maybe more.

So much DLC privelege man. Bowser's tough guy, a reflect, 8 directions, a shield break, a shield ignoring jab, two armored command grabs, rage comeback mechanic, invincible dtilt. Its absurd. Incineroars entire kit revolves around having an armored command grab, and Kazuya just gets it as a sidenote.

i think those people are complaining about the accuracy and feel to the character. yeah mario works for the most part but he's not as upwardly mobile and free as his games make him be. samus is practically a made up character with the samus name on it. donkey kong doesnt even use barrels in his moveset. the special inputs thing i agree on seperately. and its not like they still dont have cool buttons to play with beyond the input specific ones.
