Seeing mass chain-routing was extremely satisfying. The effect on morale caused by routed friendly units is one of the reason why older Total War games are more fun to play. In newer Total Wars like Rome 2 morale shock have such neglictable effect that something like this wouldn't be possible to accomplish.

you can do half and half. or what i did. the best katana school gives a charge bonus.

Why is it impossible? You have a Rank 5 General, 3 hero units, 2 veteran calvalry units and 4 veteran katana samurai units? Enemy has no shock troops and only defensive-based infantry and some calvalry which is mostly green conscripts. And has no generals. I play your save many times and it is somehow an easy win almost every time.

amazing game ,dude! But i got a little question how can you improve your units like samurai both the attack and charge? I think i can enhance only one, either attach or charge when they were born in some special cities that can do the job. Thanks!

I got a victory like that in FOTS L'ennemi avait une supériorité numérique over 1450 i think Cavalry, Pikeman and line infantry and me just 600 soldier largely composed of infantry just 1 units of pikeman regardless of the number of the enemy you just need to have intelligance

Oh, i see. upgrade to a best katana school and use it to produce the samurai in such a city like Satsuma which can give attack bonus. That's what you did for both attack and charge bonus. Is that correct?

Amazing battle , i really like the Total war series ,really amazing victory i cant win against the stacks of doom the AI have , i think they make big armies to fast , i dont have time to enjoy the "Chi" side of the SP , i have to rush or the AI kills me fast , i need to learn from you how to win impossible battles !!

The morale system in this game sucks. There was a time i had a army double the size of the enemy army, and when my units charged, they instantly routed, like wtf? I tried to take a castle, everything was okay until, someone routed out of nothing and everyone followed.

I had 1 siege battle that I only have around 4k men against 4 or 5 stacks Takeda (Takeda Shingen 5star leading 1 stack)they have around 14k and I get close victory wtf???

Well its really not impossible. You won with a route, a ton of those kills were cav units running down the fleeing enemies. The reason hero units are so good is because they have such amazing stats. They kill and kill and kill and seldom lose men so if the enemy doesn't have archers or matchlocks they tend to win with a route. Really that was the most likely outcome. You had less men but they were some of the best troops you can get in the game. Golden melee upgraded rank 7 shimazu katana samurai? Those are some of the strongest melee units you can possibly get it only makes sense they tore up the totally green ashigaru troops who are the literal weakest units that exist.
