Shogun Book Ending Revealed | Episode 10 Explained

Longest video yet! Since it's the finale, I figured it deserved more focus. The story finally comes to an end. Yabu tries to come to terms with the consequences of his actions. Blackthorne is grief-stricken by the loss of Mariko and Toranaga reveals his true intentions. Quite a lot happened but there were still many cut scenes including the final scene and essentially the ending of the book!

It’s so insane that the show is held in such high regard considering how much better the book is. I’d give the show like a 6 or 7 but the source material is so good that people think the show is good lol.

Yeah it’s surprising tbh. I’d probably give the show a 7 since I think a 6 is a lil harsh. Seeing people compare it to early game of thrones is WILD 😭

Ngl seeing the book comparisons in your reviews made me realise that the show is kinda mid lol. Seems like a dumbed down version of the book tbh. Lowkey ruined the show for me 💀. I gotta read the book now tho, it sounds so much better lol.

Lmaoo damn my bad. I don’t think the shows bad tbh. It’s like a 7. It’s just that the book is pretty much a 10 so it’s gonna look bad in comparison. Definitely read the book if you’re interested tho. Pretty much most of blackthorne a story is cut out of the show and the story with Rodrigues and the Portuguese is also gone. There’s so much I didn’t cover in these vids that make the book worth reading even if you know the ending!
