This was yet another great episode that only serves to underline the fact that this show is performing at an incredibly high level right now and seems destined to end in phenomenal fashion. Like I said last week, the criticisms I had of this show in the first few episodes are gone and in their place are tighter narratives, stronger performances, and scenes of cultural tradition that serve to not only showcase the culture, but further the narrative. The concept of loyalty really drives this episode for me. What does that mean to Toranaga? What does that mean to his generals? What does that mean to Blackthorne? These different ideas of loyalty are immiscible and set forth a chain of events that are going to pit allies against one another and likely result in these final two episodes being pretty explosive. Check out my thoughts, leave your own, and remember to rate/comment/subscribe/share and ENJOY!
