This is my small leaf Ficus Religiosa shohin bonsai, I'm training it since it was a seedling, for last 2 and a half years.
I share the pre-monsoon works done on it, and some essential tips for beginner bonsai growers here in this video.

ficus religiosa is a very difficult tree to find in Brazil. I've been looking for some time and I don't think so. I think a sensational tree

In Brazil the climate is suitable for ficus religiosa I think. It germinates and propagates naturally, so a single tree is needed for South America.

Sir I have 1 question is it okay if I grow my plant n normal pot in starting for few years and after it get mature n it get proper shape then shift to bonsai pot or do I have to grow it in bonsai pot only from starting ?

Dormancy is not suitable for pruning or repotting a plant. End of dormancy and beginning of growing season is the best time.

Late winter is the best season for pruning. you can prune hard except winter, (if tree health is fine) all over the year. and for conifers early winter is best.

Try to keep this thumb rule in your mind. potting soil should have well drainage and porous nature.
