I studied with Nishio Sensie in his home dojo for almost a year during the early late 80/90s. One of the greatest honors of my life. A true Bodhisattva 🔥🙏🏻🔥

Thank you for your comment. Indeed, it's impossible to really understand Aikido, or "find it convincing", by videos. It's better experience it in a good Dojo. 😉

Dear Aikidoka; This is the real thing. Shihan has passed but his student, Stefan Stenudd in Sweden, is still teaching (and was Nishio's student). Not every dojo has this level of teaching.

西尾先生は素晴らしい技を持っていることに疑いはないのだけれど、どうにも好きになれないんだよなぁ。 弟子にゆっくり攻撃させて、自分は素早く動くってのがね。 そして多分だけど、この世代から合気会の技が変わりはじめた気がする。 上手く言えないけれど。
