A bit of information on the lore of MS Development during the One Year War era. The number in the model number for Federation units indicate the year it started development. RX-77 Guncannon (as seen in the original series) began development in UC 0077, the RX-78 in UC 0078, and the RX-79 [G] in UC 0079. This of course got jacked up with Origin and then was never repeated after the OYW.

My first gunpla and I love it. Yes the waist always comes off I've used a small amount of poly glue to keep it together and also the hand for the beam rifle comes off now and then but the design of the kit and the box is definitely worth it

Oh, no the time line thing, it is developed at the same time but its a way cheaper model than the rx78-2 and was meant to be more mass produced than the rx78 and it had removed all the flight stuff obv sence its a ground type

the shield peg having a hinge is because the shield was also used as a melee weapon, the shield moves forward on the hinge for an 'attack mode'
