Unfortunately, I don't have to imagine. The box is whatever gets you through. In this case, music. Your support. And an abusive person will do anything in their power to remove that support. Tell you that you can't listen to Rap, or Metal, or whatever. This....was the dream. To have a way out...kids banding together to help others. To not just run away, but to have something to run towards. It's a favorite song of mine.

Korn made an entire album dedicated to kids being bullied and abused. "Untouchables" the did it to give a voice to the kids Noone would listen to

Lots of people feel like music is their safe place. I feel like the band expanded on this idea, when she was at her lowest she looks into the box that contains the music and the music came out in her time of need, then she leaves and the music followed her and went back into her box where it was safe... just my thoughts on the box... there are times in the video where she is looking down into the box and the band is all looking up like they are playing a mini show just for her

Nope, if he's doing any korn music, he NEEDS to live through daddy, just like we all did. It's the only way to truly appreciate korns (Johnathan's) music.

I'm right here with you, brothers and sisters. As much as you'd never wish what you experienced on others, you're not alone. If you're still dealing with it, or if you're still IN it, you are not alone. And just know there are online communities of us that support one another. That has helped me a lot over the years. There IS hope. Let the rest of us help you fight back. Love to you, kerry, and anyone else dealing with this kind of bs. 💝✊

Usually people that it's happened to have to get it out of their system somehow. I'm still purging and I'm 52. I'm female so what father did is what I sought in men. Now happily alone for the last 14 years. This is my way of coping. Helping others and venting thru music. Rehab - It Don't Matter is my anthem in a way if you want to check it out. Subbed

Sadly Korns lead singer was abused as a child
@natecloe853510 ай бұрын
Sometimes it's wild when you stop and think about the length people go to in order to ignore child abuse. The world's a bit different now than it was when I was in school. So it's better now but I remember one specific event where a student came in and she was bruised up on her face her neck and her arms. And one of the ones on her arms was a very clear handmark bruise where somebody had been squeezing her arm too tight. More than one of us went to our teacher to tell her that we saw that. She told everyone of us to mind our business and she never did anything about it. Then we found out the next year that this girl's mother was leaving her father because he literally committed attempted murder on the child. That was when I first suspected that teachers were terrible people and not the heroes they were made out to be. And everything that public schools have done in the last 10 years has done nothing more than confirm what I already thought. Teachers are some of the most dangerous people on the planet and there isn't a single one of them in America that is good at their job. There are no heroic teachers in America "teacher" now means nothing more than "groomer of future democrats"

After all this heaviness you should check out something uplifting like Fishbone - Everyday Is Sunshine

Or actually I like "Party at Ground Zero" by Fishbone even better!
@Nosnhojyerffej11 ай бұрын
@@TheExyle there are so many great Fishbone songs, but I think for reactions you have to start with the most popular and then go deep if you want to break through all the more popular artists. They are one of the most influential bands of the 80-90s but just never get the respect they are owed. @Shon I'm really digging your appreciation of everything you've done so far. You won't be disappointed here. Ska, reggae, gospel, punk, funk, soul... All balled up in one very talented but underrated group that is still touring constantly!
