The meaning of the song is that we are taught these nursery rhymes as a child but they are all based on terrible things that have happened. Ring around the Roseys about the Black plague the ashes ashes we all fall down is about burning the bodies that were diseased. London bridge falling down is about when the London bridge collapsed when it was first built killed several people. The this old man came Rollin home is about a war veteran that's disabled in a wheelchair who gave his body for the country. However when returning home they don't take care of him they won't throw him a bone. Mary had a little lamb I'm not sure I think it's about a newborn lamb that survived being malnourished and abandoned by the mother. Mary saved it and it followed her everywhere.

I was bullied relentlessly and abused by my step father. Literally wrestling and being punched. My mom only watched. My dad was effectively cut off because we just up and moved 6 hours away and be swore he thought he'd never see us again. It made me into the man i am today. I'm pretty emotionally dead though because suicide was always in the back of my mind and learning to kill emotion helped.

The lead singer used to do drugs early in the band. And he quit drugs cold turkey with no rehab during the recording of this album. And he said he thought he was really losing his mind. But he realized he was just detoxing from not doing any drugs and alcohol. If you look up the background to some of their albums every album is about something the lead singer was going through at the time. Brad, ypu understand it, ypu get the lyrics and all that, but Lex, you seem to GET IT. Its a release of innner demons, frustrations, anger, hate, lonliness, confusion, all the negativity, being released. Its like therapy. I am 30 this year, I have suffered with depression, being medicated for it, since I was 18. My only true releases I get is gaming with my friends a couple times a week, and music. And metal seems to be the best for that. Its like the therapy activity, write your feelings down, then rip it up, burn it, throw it away. Metal; scream it out, let it out, feel the weight lift for a while. Keep it up! Ove your vids! Would love to hear you react to Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit, or From The Inside, or Crawling. 🤟

@6:05 that background music Lex is talking about is one of my favorite things too! It reminds me of the tanpura in music from India and the Middle East that creates a sort of droning bass that all the other instruments are laid on top of. Hey Brad, Lex is on point, back in the day (20 years a go) i used to put my nephew to sleep with Metallica, Pantera or Sepultura. And he fell asleep in seconds in the middle of the most amazing strong rifts. Trust me, works like a charm. ❤

I think you should do a song on a bad day!! We could totally suggest songs that would either help or escalate those feelings, but no one else on KZbin shows their bad days, so I think it'd SO COOL if you guys did a reaction like that. Even more so because a lot of these metal songs help US on bad days, and maybe they can help you guys too! It'd be a whole new level of "real" tbh, I'd absolutely respect you guys for showing the rougher side, no matter how the video goes.

Parkway Drive - The Void (live from Wacken). Great song and awesome video. Will give a great glimpse of the metal concert experience. Don’t do a lyric video. You have to do the official video.
