To me, Steven Tyler is the very essence of a rock star. When I think of iconic rock music, I always think of his voice. That scream, the scatting, the notes he can hit? All totally on point and utterly unforgettable.

Aerosmith has been together for close to 50 years now. The singer, Steven Tyler, has been a judge the last several seasons on America’s got talent. Eminem sampled this song in his music. There is a video of Eminem and Steven Tyler performing the song together on stage. Aerosmith was extremely popular in the late 70s and became so again in the 80s.

@@bartstarr100 Yeah but in Steven Tyler's defense he had NO idea he had a daughter until she tracked him down. Make it sound like he was a deadbeat dad.

@@gears101 It's a crazy story...She was legally Liv Rundgren until 1991 when it became public knowledge that she was Steven's daughter and she changed her name, but she suspected it when she met Steven around age 10 and recognized their resemblance to each other...her mother may have told her at the time, but Todd was also a celeb, so I don't blame Steven or Liv for waiting until it was appropriate to disclose that they were related...and she managed to parlay it into a pretty memorable acting career...from the interviews I've seen and read (That are mostly linked in the wiki) she's not a conventional person...like her father, she's a bit of a rebel...trying to help people where she can and not being so focused on the celebrity lifestyle...she's been working with UNICEF for many years now...

Aerosmith one of the best rock bands of all-time ! On a personal note I had Steven for a neighbor here on a lake in New Hampshire... was a friendly and funny guy the few times I spoke with him, he loves it here because he can walk around with his family w/o being disturbed. Aerosmith actually started here playing in a local barn before leaving for Boston and becoming a big part of Rock-n-Roll history ✌️🙂

Great reaction. Aerosmith had been my mom's all time favorite group. At one of the concerts her and my dad attended - because she was a AF1 member for as long as I can remember ; Steven brought her on and if I remember right he sang to her directly - Love In An Elevator ; one of her favorite songs and then after the song was over - she got a Big KISS right on the Lips from him. Probably one of my mom's greatest moments while at an Aerosmith concert in he lifetime.

This is from their very first album, which is still my favorite of all of their albums, followed closely by their third album Toys in the Attic, or at least I think it's their third album.. Walk This Way, which you saw their collaboration with Run DMC several years later, was off toys in the attic. You've got to check out the original man it's really funky and it totally rocks. Steven Tyler is so good at that borderline rap delivery. Also from that album, check out, Big 10 Inch Record, which is actually a cover of an old blues hit. They also do a stellar cover of an older Blues Thing by the infamous Rufus Thomas, and it's called Walk the Dog. It's off of their first album like this one.

Saw Aerosmith ten times between 1975 and 2001, and they are one of the greatest bands to ever walk the planet. Here are their names from the album cover photo so you will know:Back Row L to R: Joey Kramer- Drums, Tom Hamilton-Bass, Brad Whitford_Guitar. Front Row L to R: Joe Perry-Guitar and Steven Tyler-Vocals. Tyler's real last name is Tallirico. The band formed in New Hampshire, but soon moved to Boston, Mass. and finally got "discovered" while playing a gig in New York City at a place called Max's Kansas City. They are Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, of course, and have a World Wide fan base. Anything from their first four albums:"Aerosmith", "Get Your Wings", "Toys In The Attic" and "Rocks" is purer gold. EVERY SONG.

I saw Aerosmith at Fenway Park in Boston last September. The encore part of the show started with Steven Tyler playing "Dream On" on a white baby grand piano atop the Green Monster. Soon Joe Perry joined him up there and started wailing on the guitar while standing on top of the piano. I wondered what people who were driving on the Mass Pike were thinking as they drove by Fenway Park and looked over and saw those 2 legends performing on top of the Green Monster. BTW, I've already got my tix to see Aerosmith at TD Garden in Boston this upcoming New Years Eve. It is going to be a party for the ages!

I love see people do these reactions and expand their musical horizons and realize that "what they thought" wasn't actually what was. Genres have their sound but when you get into the message, it can change everything. I will still hold Rock as one of the most talented genres but I listen to most all of it.
