In the 80's Aerosmith did a song with a Hip Hop group named Run DMC. It was one of the first times a Rock Band and a rap group did a music video together. When you get a chance react to "Walk This Way" by RUN DMC. They were the first Hip Hop artists to get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

When Aerosmith was coming up, I lived in Massachusetts. Their first real gig was at Nipmuck high school, about 2 miles from my house. I used to go see them with another band called the Joneses who were very popular in Massachusetts at the time. They used to play at a place at Lake Nipmuck. Initially they were the warm-up band and eventually turned the tables on the Joneses. It cost me $1.75 to go see them. The first time I saw them I knew they were gonna make it and when Dream On came out the rest would be history

You may really really love the fried chicken and mac 'n cheese, but you will be very disappointed if you do not try a little of everything else, too." Best advice ever!! I have always been a pop tart and I do not apologize for that. BUT I listen to every genre there is and have had some beautiful surprises over the years!! I am no rap fan, but I adore Emenem. From google..Yes, Aerosmith played in a barn behind a 14-unit building on Prospect Hill Road in Sunapee, New Hampshire, where the band got its start. The barn was a favorite hangout for the band members, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, who met in Sunapee while spending their childhood summers there. In their early years, Aerosmith played at many places in New Hampshire, including high school proms, the JFK Coliseum in Manchester, Holman Stadium in Nashua, and the Capitol Theater in Concord....im adding.. they also were big in Boston and through out new england.

Walk This Way (original soundtrack from the album Toys In The Attic)…and other fan favs: Last Child, Sweet Emotion, Train Kept A Rollin, Lord Of The Thighs, Nobody’s Fault…among many. ORIGINAL STUDIO ALBUM VERSIONS ONLY (Not Live versions or remixes). Dream On (1st album) released in 1973 but didn’t start getting airplay until 1974 or 75. By then they had their fourth album out and suddenly everywhere on the radio was Dream On, Walk This Way and sweet emotion. And besides Zeppelin, which is at the top of most rock ‘n rollers bands list. It was an Aerosmith Summer. PS: Aerosmith had ‘two lives’; before the late 80s and then after their come back of the 90s. (they broke up and reunited and did a famous collaboration with run dmc ). All the hits above are from their early era.

I grew up hearing this song on the radio and it STILL gives me chills. One of those songs that never feels old or stale no matter how often you listen to it. Okay, one, you need to watch them performing something live. Two, I'm sure there are a lot of suggestions for other songs of theirs to listen to in the comments, and maybe you've already checked out a bunch of them, but if you haven't already heard it yet, give a listen to "Toys In The Attic".

Him and Steve Perry can actually do the same vocals live, that they do in the studio

They were popular in the 70's/80's...Lead singer in name Steven Tyler...and the "noise" you heard when he was singing in a higher registry was actually HIM still singing...I just love watching your reactions and actually appreciating the musicians of my generation

They were huge in the 90s too. They changed their music "style" every decade. That's why they were very popular for so many years.

I'm from Hull Massachusetts, and I saw them for the first time in 1972 at the Surf Ballroom for $5.00, and I knew then that they would be great given the opportunity. I bought this album in 1973. Their first three albums (to me) were their best. Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic, kick ass too. But they had other great albums as well. I'll be 70 this year, and I'm still rocking out to Aerosmith.
