This is actually exciting. The fights are actually methodical instead of just flashy mashing. The fact that in fights the characters practically stay in the same place really shows the level of control you have, with insinuations of an actual deep high-level mindgame esque playstyle that all the best fighters are known for. But it's still sure to add a cinematic flair to the fights with all the cool looking inbetweens, and while I don't fully understand the mechanics they definitely seem to have some sort of "anime fight simulator" nature going on with them in terms of comeback mechanics with all its flashiness. Honestly, Sparking Zero looks cool, but I know it's just going to be another "anime fighter." At least this one shows hints that it's trying to be something more than just fanservice for the fans. If you had no interest in bleach whatsoever this seems like a genuinely fun fighting game to play still. Here's hoping that it feels just how it looks.

Looks enjoyable, but i need to see how this game is pushed, so I know what can be done. Attacks still look a bit clunky on some characters, not much in the way of combos, So i'll wait for when people have studied the game to see what's going on and how things can be more advanced, it's kind of like a slower clash of ninja, or a faster one punch man. So far nothing I'd take seriously, but it looks fun enough.

But the core combat is mostly one button

Hit effects are a visual noise, cover too much screen. Animations look like they came from the PS2 era. And the slight floating after getting uppercutted/sent flying looks bad. Also, I HATE the frame freezing every other time an attack connects. Overall the dynamism of the combat feels off, and characters are too close to each other at all times. And I still hate golden Reiatsu for Ichigo. At least give it to his "real Zangetsu" self, and leave his other versions Blue, as they should be.
