If ever a comment deserved a heart, then this one from Fran Meneses did, or even ten hearts.

There's a lot of novelty cameras out there, and a lot of cheap but charming cameras (Holgas, Dianas), but this Split Cam is paradoxically something special and yet it never set out to be anything beyond a gimmick. A very easy reccomendation

The first and third photos looked like Monet paintings 💜 Nice one Ed.

A new Eduardo video. What a treat. It's always great to hear your voice, Eduardo.

LOL! This episode made me laugh so hard. Having said that, totally agree that this camera is such a dichotomy; crap camera that can produce otherworldly images. Keep up the good work.

I have one too and you are more than correct, feels like garbage in the hand. The results were pretty amazing for sure for what it is!

That sound! Such a plastic tin sound. Reminds me on my "Panorama" toy cam (Wide Pic). Everytime I hear the clonky shutter I have to laugh. Some of your photos are really awesome, surrealistic. Two of them I would like to have as large prints. And imagine shooting the second roll of film, now that you know how it works (or not 🤓). Thanks for this video!

man, that thing flares and leaks like a mother heifer, but it seemed like it was a blast to use and it actually produced a number of really interesting images. thanks for sharing.

6:52 Almost! But not quite! 7:39 Nice! I'd categorize this as a lomography type toy camera.

The images were great. I love the fact that you can't 'control' alot of it - that's a good thing, in my eyes. More of a being present. I'm gonna go buy a disposable camera. A break from high tech is great

I got this on Amazon for like $4 a few years ago. Never got to use it but glad to see it get a video.

Really liked the episode man, had a lot of fun watching it and your astonishment over the results! If you'd like to experiment more, there are splitzer filters out there to be bought (I think lomography produced one specifically for the lca for instance) or you could always glue so black cardboard over half of a skylight filter. Would love to see if the consistency kills the amazement or adds to it. Hope you're doing well! Cheers from Germany 👋🏼

The word you are looking for is the Lomography type of camera!!
@oxentielreadman2 жыл бұрын

I love your double exposure photos. Could you try doing a video with a multi exposure cap on a slightly more consistent camera? (Just googling the terminology I found someone taking pictures with SMENA 8M with lens cap cut in half).
@edpavez2 жыл бұрын
My Rolleiflex allows double exposures. I should give that a try.

Wow I wasn't expecting this level of comedy from this video haha. Oh man that camera is sooooooo crappy and cheaply made, it reminds me of a cheap camera a friend once gave me called "Shark Diver" that was bright yellow and was apparently for taking photos underwater. It broke before we even got into the sea.
