They are shot vertically rather than the camera in a horizontal position. I follow the process as I would for horizontal panoramas in photoshop. If I have any merging verticals I can use the warp tool in PS to adjust these. With panoramic photography you can use any shot sequence, but use live view to make sure of overlaps in the shots, so that the software can stitch together successfully. I have even done this handheld with my Ricoh GRiii and the files are so good you can print them to a large size, as some files will go beyond 60mp.
