But the truth is that you should shoot with air through there because it helps with your form. Steps shoots with air through there sometimes but not all the time. Steph's shooting form is so one motion that even if he shoots with air through there, he still banks the shot. Have common sense guys, not for likes.

practicing form shots with one hand has to be the best thing i ever found out about, just standing between the free throw shot and the paint, shooting shots with one hand(your main hand of course) has helped me so much, easily became the best shooter out of like 30 other kids in my team

For me, I found out that by rolling the ball over my index finger and middle finger the shoot becomes more precise. Important is that the hand is stable and the ball doesn't roll out your hand over your ring finger and pinky.

The "Reverse Waterfall" is also called "Reaching into the cookie jar". That's what a coach taught me 40 years ago. Also, the one hand shooting from 3-4 feet away from the front of the rim reinforces the cookie jar motion. Another thing to do is lay on your back, put the ball into your hand on your side up at your shoulder, and practice the motion of "pushing" the ball up straight with a final flick of the hand/wrist. Catch it and repeat. It works to improve your dominate hand with the correct motion and hand position on the ball. But the over all key is to use your whole body in one smooth motion to "reach into the cookie jar" on the shot. Practice that until it is pure muscle memory.

I live in the UK and I use to go to a basketball club run by an American called Jimmy. He was a short white guy in his 60s . Strong and fit 💪, would play full court with us teenagers for hours . Ran this club for no profit, just the love of the game and the love of coaching. He told me the same thing about shooting. Starts in your toes finishers with your fingers

I always get discouraged when I’m inconsistent I need to learn to keep my shot and learn from it to develop it’ll only make me better restarting too often and making shots but later missing is worse than developing a shot that works for me and be consistent.
