Thanks for posting this video. I have a Canon 550D and was wondering about what Mattebox to buy. I understand that focus control knobs come in with all variety of matteboxes but does Shoot35 have knobs for "zoom in" and "zoom out"? Thank you for your answer.

Purchased one the other day, a little disappointing it didn't come with a flight case like similar priced competitors (used to from what I'm told). But other than that, good purchase.

What? One of the selling points of the shoot35 is supposed to be the flexible rubber bellows that accommodates exactly that - lenses with extending barrels. You can't have a huge extension without readjusting but it should work. Just make sure that the front element doesn't *rotate*, those are very problematic for cine use (and were never intended for it, of course).

If you have to use zooms in your shooting, as in your shot requires a zoom, then you are kinda out of luck if the lens needs to extend a good amount. If however you have zoomed fixed shots, then you can set your shot up, zoomed and re-adjust your matte box for the setup. If you want to run-and-gun and be able to zoom, you are kinda out of luck.

This box could be better but the rubber connection between the box and the donuts never stays in position because of its poor design. The swing away lock is not very professionnally designed.
