Very proud to have seen Shooter live. Great time 🎸
@brennastanley173111 жыл бұрын
Just like his daddy, Shooter cares not what anybody else thinks. Waylon broke through the walls of "normal" country music and started an outlaw movement by doing his own thing and never giving in to the opinions of others. Shooter does his own thing. It's called originality and I love every second of it.

Love this song and adore Shooter. I know Waylon is beaming with pride over the man and the musician that Shooter is. Waylon would want Shooter to be his own man and make his own music and that is what makes me love him. He does his daddy and his mama proud. He is definitely his father's son and I have been a fan since he first released "4th of July", not even knowing he was Waylon and Jessi's son.

I love this song, Shooter. When I heard about your Dad's death during a vacation to Florida, I was so glad I'd packed my mixed tape for my own memorial with my Walkman playing as I walked down the beach, grateful that I'd seen him in concert but sad. "You Gave Me a Reason to Stay," "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean," Jack a Diamonds" to mention a fraction of that 90 min. I sure always resented "country radio" not playing him more. Thank God for Rhapsody, so I still can discover and buy new misic!

When I was just a young boy My daddy came to me Said, 'Son out in this world there's a lotta things That'll make you feel like your supposed to be' You don't have to read the good book To be a good man just the same And forget about the money Money ain't brought nothing to your daddy but pain It ain't easy It ain't easy But you'll be alright Now it's 15 years later Now I'm out on the road And it's been 4 years to day he died And they won't even play us on the radio And I think I've found my way alright Without him here to catch me now and again I just keep on moving along, keeping my mind on my song And trying to figure out love And it ain't easy It ain't easy But I'll be alright Any other fool Any other fool would throw this away Any other fool, yeah I wanna take a minute to thank you For all the things that you done Yeah, you gave me a light in the dark of night When there was no place to hide, no where to run And it ain't easy It ain't easy, is it, baby' It ain't easy It ain't easy It ain't easy But we'll be alright, alright Be alright, uh huh Oh, it will be alright It will be alright Oh, it will be alright It will be alright (Easy)

Its very difficult for us that follow in the foot steps of our fathers ( maybe the as mothers but i dont have one to know) for people think we are riding on their coattails. I am very proud that my father showed me all the things he could as well as the things he would not show because it was his little secrets to get every mg of horsepower out of whatever. I can now say i think i surpassed his legacy after 25 yrs and it also scares 1 at this time as well because everyone wants to know what you know.
