yes they could probably have a little more hustle but its a mistaken belief from action movies that emergency personnel run everywhere. If a situation is in a state where the few seconds you gain by running could make any difference, then you probably couldn't have made a difference anyway. If someone is going to die in 10 seconds and you ran to get to them before then... congratulations, the only difference you've made is that you get to watch them die instead of them dying before you get there. Far more lives are saved by emergency personnel being careful and not running into dangerous situations.

And the overhead shot the Tiller could either be a Seagrave or Simon-Duplex or KME given the area and whoever Is in charge of the movie prop vehicles and they tend to be old retired rigs, so there's no real way of telling by the overhead shot. And then in the next scene the ladder is a Ferrara Inferno. But the pumper is a 92-96 KME Renegade or Excel Pumper.

There are more than 9,300 Officers in the LAPD, of which, only around 500 of them are in SWAT. In order for SWAT to be called, it must be called by a patrol supervisor, or unless a violent felony is occurring that regular patrol cannot handle. California, and especially the LAPD ranks in the top 5 of the most average and trained police forces in the US, and within the top 5 for the best paying states to be an Officer in. Regular patrol could have clearly arrived on scene and taken the suspect out. This is why no one who is interested in Law Enforcement, former or current Law Enforcement or military like SWAT. It's too cringey.

The 'ladder' changes 3 times. First time, it's a Seagrave RMA. Second time, it's a tiller (unsure of make) Third time, it's a Ferrara. LAFD doesn't even run Ferrara (to my knowledge), atleast not Ferrara Inferno's. So many wrong decisions.. for one the rig placement, the way everyone was acting on scene, seemed like none of them ever saw an actual fire before, or even been around a piece of apparatus. Also.. I'm not a firefighter IRL, I've just done my fair share of research online, so I could be mistaken with some of this, but I don't believe you'd force entry a dumpster door.. those things aren't locked from what I know. 'Try it before you pry it'.

@@Tyler-Bravo first change I saw was the opening CGI to the top down view, CGI is a rear mount ladder and the top down shows a tiller, the ladder in every shot after this is a rear mount as well but it is a different model than the one shown in the CGI, in short they put next to no effort into making the trucks look realistic, also the LAFD doesn’t have rear mount ladders in service so even if the truck didn’t change it was still wrong for every shot except the top down one in the beginning. Another inaccuracy I noticed was the captain who has a white helmet, white helmets are for chiefs, the LAFD gives orange(if I am correct) helmets to captains. I hope this helps

The fact that I haven’t seen a single TV show that gets the medical portion correct. Blood loss isn’t the MOST IMPORTANT thing there is. In a shooter Situation, you have to follow the MARCH or SAVE algorithm. When shot in the arm, best to put a tourniquet, in the shoulder, neck or groin, best to pack gauze into it(hemostatic’s if possible), then hold great pressure, then put a bandage over it and secure it. When it’s in the chest/stomach area(above belly button) you put a chest seal on it!! Or at least an occlusive dressing(no airflow).Too many people just think putting cheap Johnson and Johnson gauze 4x4’s is good enough. Now I know it’s just a drama TV show and all, and it’s meant for an entertainment purpose, but I think TV shows and movies can do a little better in the medical aspect if they put in the effort to learn a bit more.
