I couldn't help but notice that the presenter spoke with a pronounced regional accent. It seemed completely appropriate for the firearm under consideration. Lovely rifle! Thanks for sharing!😊❤

I think that the Kibler flintlock rifles are great and a great value for a semi custom rifle. I just recently put a Kibler Colonial American Longrifle 54-caliber together, and it was an experience. I just took my time and watched Jim's videos multiple times and ended up with a beautiful rifle that is more accurate than I am. I'm thinking about a southern mountain rifle next in 40-caliber.

You are right, the Kibler SMR's are accurate and fun to shoot. I have the older version of that rifle in .45 and .36 cal. The .45 has the Chambers lock and the .36 has the Kibler lock, both with the 46 inch Rice barrels. I use the .45 for woodswalks and the .36 for paper matches. Also I have taken deer with the .45 and squirrels with the .36. Love shooting both of them.

A .36 caliber is definitely on my list of guns that I want. My son and myself recently shot a match and a gentleman next to us was using a .36 and he shot some impressive groups.

The more times I look at your gun the more the proportions look good, is your patchbox over 6" long? With the very thin stock wrist it is difficult to judge the size. Chris B.

That’s one beautiful gun and Thanks Kindly for sharing it! Just looking at it it feels good in hand! You can kind of tell this by looking. Black powder firearms, their history and the fact that they were major tools of our ancestors makes them special for me. And being a craftsman myself I appreciate the craftsmanship and art that is required to make one. I’ve never made one but have restored a few old ones and rebuilt a kit 50cal. Hawkins kit rifle that had been slapped together not very well. I also have a 1829 N. Starr 69 cal. Military issue smooth bore I restored from rust and grime. I’ll be shooting it for the first time this spring. Thanks again for showing that Lovely piece and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Thanks for watching and it's my pleasure telling folks about these older style firearms. I also appreciate muzzle loaders as you have said, they are part of this country's survival for years. They were a tool that many families depended on to put food on the table and to defend that same family. I enjoy shooting them and love researching them. Thanks for the kind words and I wish many blessings to you and your family.

Can I buy a complete rifle
@musketman5410 ай бұрын
I'm not for sure if Kibler sales a complete rifle. You could reach out and ask. If you know a good gun builder, you could buy the kit and let them build it for you.
@ForestWolf175710 ай бұрын
Kibler does off to build them for you, but not finish them. If Kibler builds them for you, they'll be "in the white" and unfinished. I believe it's $700 extra to have them put it together for you.

It hasn't saw a lot of use over the years and is a fine rifle. It's hard to beat the feel of those Hawken rifles. Plus they will shoot groups as well as any custom gun.
