Shooting a Black Car at Night?! Behind the Scenes of Spirit Rei "MIYABI"

SUPERRRR PUMPED to bring the first "Behind the Scenes Breakdown" to the channel! For the longest time I've always wanted to add BTS content to the channel, but when actually being on set, it's hard for me to stop what I'm doing and switch my train of thought into recording behind the scenes.So I had the idea of just wearing a GoPro for the entire shoot, and then we can take a look at what it recorded on set, and break down the edit, color, and sound all at the same time.

Great BTS! I just gotta commit to wearing the GoPro honestly, that's my struggle (and the poor battery life). I love my original Ronin as well, they just work, especially with a ring grip. A7S III with 24-105 is my go to combo, but picked up a 16-35 F/4 before I went off to Europe recently, and it was a game changer for the tight two lane roads and locations. Out of curiosity, are you shooting SLOG3 PP8 at night as well? The second base ISO 12,800 is great, but the internal noise reduction is a bit too much. Sometimes I feel my A7III image is better 🤷‍♂ Looking forward to more BTS content!

Hey man, I've always been wondering if you usually find a song before going out to shoot, or if you choose it afterwards. I feel like it should be easier to find it beforehand and then coming up with all the shots afterwards

It is mostly a case by case scenario. For this one I had this song sitting around and knew it would fit perfect for this. I do cover that somewhere in here, I think it’s around the beginning of the first scene chapter.
