You’ve had the m74 for awhile now how do you like it? I’ve seen horror stories online, video of bad head spacing explosion, key holing issues. I bought one a month or so ago and haven’t shot it yet. Waiting on my no go/go gauges to get in. Still would love some first hand user feedback if you don’t mind

Thanks for the comment. I've had 2 of them in my lifetime and they have both been great guns. Never had a malfunction. My current m74 has about 1,200-1,400 rounds through it and I haven't experienced any problems. As far as the explosion video that was the only occurrence of that as far as my research goes. The keyholing issues were part of the early serial numbers of those rifles. So as long as you have a newer one you should be ok.

So, you've compared the 5.45×39mm to the 5.56×45mm. Will you ever compare the AK-74M system to the M4/AR-15 system and list the pros/cons of each system?

I can. Problem is that I dont have an AR-15 at the moment to do a side by side comparison. I may ask some friends to lend me one to do a video.

5.45x39mm is the Russian response to 5.56x45mm. Recoil is similar as is ballistics. 5.45 tends to yawh upon impact and 5.56 tends to fragment. I have heard rumors that WASR has 5.56 AKs on their way to US.
