Great video Adam; very comprehensive. As an ex-Rhodesian serviceman 75-78, it still amazes me that most guys don't do anything to camouflage their wristwatches, which will often glint brightly in sunlight. We always used leather watchstraps with a flap that covered the face and a snap fastener to keep it in place. Pain to have to pop the cover to see the watch, but it definitely removed any possibility of reflection giving your position away. That's why we also started painting our rifles.

I used the Alice setup in the USMC infantry, hiking and big game hunting in New Mexico, Az, mountains, deserts, 29 Palms, Okinawa, and it works great. I have found chest rigs suck in general, and would not want to use one patrolling, esp in hot weather. It’s more comfy to carry all that weight on the hips instead of on the shoulders.

Head-nets and any thing that provides protection against bugs should be compulsory. Apart from the discomfort bites will inflict, bugs are also known for carrying diseases. You really don't want to add that to the list of things you will have to deal with later.

Surplus is a good source. Don't use some of those older ones from the 1950s or earlier; they have those old 60mm filters that have asbestos in them. I have an unissued M9A1 gas mask that had one of those filters. I ordered a 60 mm to 40 mm adapter, so I can now mount a 40 mm NATO filter on it. The M-17 is good, but the twin cheek filters are a bear to change.

Respectfully, if you, as a civilian, are in a position where you need a gas mask, beside maybe CS gas, you're going to die. Research CBRN manuals. Unless you're trying to resist tear gas, almost any other threat will kill you anyways.

Another great video, the content is much appreciated. Crispi makes great boots. Those are the Attiva Mid GTX. I disagree however that they breathe well. They are gortex lined and any waterproof boot does not breathe well at all. Nor do they dry out fast.

I will agree with you there. I bought some mountaineering shoes recently (for high/alpine)... Wanted some full leather ones, as I much prefer it generally in all my footwear, but they simply don't exist anymore. Virtually every manufacturer is adding gtx or their own substitute. Settled for a Scarpa boot and so far I like it a lot. The membranes are a lot better than they used to be and the waterproofness came in handy more than I expected (morning dew, streams etc). I have sweaty feet but so far it's been ok.

Regarding the analog vs digital discussion; In many cases, having digital available is a boon. Especially if you are working within some kind of officially sanctioned organization. (Military, Reserves, Police, PMC, etc) However, you have to remember that the electronic gear, especially if civilian grade, makes you trackable. Now when working in an organization this is a boon. You know where your guys are and they know where you are. If you get hurt you can be quickly found and rescued, etc. But when working outside an organization, especially if you are preparing for a SHTF or Civil War type of situation, being trackable by authorities who may not have your best interests at heart is not something you want. Alternately, in an area like Ukraine, where we have already seen the Russians use geopositional tracking on smartphones to land "warheads on foreheads" of the western volunteers who didn't turn off their phones. So planning around having electronics available and working with just analog gear is an important skill to have and be proficient at.
@nakievzamir9796
@nakievzamir9796 5 күн бұрын
The Ukrainian junta did the same, I confirm. A modern smartphone is a tracking device, but it is necessary for many reasons. The globalists, by the way, forced many Western Ukrainians to fight for the People's Republics against the puppet government of Ukraine, so your recommendations to use analog equipment are more relevant to them than to the forces of the globalists

Enjoyed the video but I think you should go into specifics on what this particular kit would be used for. You mention the Khaki pants and tee shirt to "blend in", so I'm thinking this is more a shtf loadout, but then u pull out a handheld IR laser I'm I'm left wondering when the hell you would use that in this type situation...Not gonna be communicating with aircraft in a shtf. I'm not military, just trying to be a prepared civilian and my loadout (work in progress too), has way less stuff. I just picture myself and any friends doing things like neighborhood patrol, hunting, maybe a small mission to go get someone or something, defending against a gang, etc, but I just see this whole loadout you have as something you would have on you for some military op or something. Just coming for ideas, and I'm not 100percent squared away, but pretty damn close too. Thanks man.

You don’t need it unless you’re talking to aircraft or manning a heavy weapon at night. Even in today’s age where NVGs are super proliferated they’re not a great idea. I’ve noticed that after playing VR for so long and doing damn near 1500 reps of using the various attachments on the m4 in the game it’s so easy to pick up other peoples gucci setups and run them at speed. All the gucci stuff isn’t hard to use whatsoever it’s just about access to it and space to train. And as always MONEY. 25:10 not gonna lie one of the biggest things I’ve noticed is not very many people have ways to address common injuries like booboos and sprained ankles. The med sled being designed to have ace bandages is a solution to where I can store them. I’m not even high speed but I’ve always known that those injuries will get you killed all the same. @@chrisspiritus9043 just Onward. It’s not that new but they have done a lot of updates to where you can’t get reps at least working different weapons. If you’ve never loaded a belt fed, then it’ll be a good intro to the real deal, almost everything is based on the real thing with the exceptions of putting a weapon on safe. You can only change firing modes

@@rzr2ffe325 not the same as real life? Ya I never said it was the same, but so what my skill actually transferred. Stay mad brooo, just because I learned it fast by not spending money or signing my life away to daddy fed doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to know actual knowledge on things

@@rzr2ffe325oh damn, what’s crazy is I forgot to mention I’m top shot at every unit this far. Sorry should’ve mentioned that I am a marksmanship coach so I’d understand how applicable it is or not
