Ive always had the itch to prep but i think it's only realistic at this point to prepare for the worst. I found this very video valuable in getting started on my prepping journey

I started prepping with a quantity over quality mindset, wanting the ability to arm the adults in my family rather than die alone with a $2K gun. Now that I want to consolidate some, nothing is even worth selling. All tested, well-maintained and serviceable weapons, just none of them have any resale value. Definitely something to think about if you're considering a large investment for a group.

If you can't afford to live you shouldn't spend the money on expensive AR-15s just to turn around and sell it because you don't have the money to get by.

Oof this is bad financial advice. A 40% loss of $500 sure beats a 10% of $3000. If you are in the position to have to sell guns you should have build a better emergency fund. Preparing for SHTF while your finances are already there.

I have to disagree on some of this, primarily the ambi safety, the charging handle, and the trigger. Now I agree there are plenty of ways to waste money on these items by spending the most on Gucci items instead of just getting lower cost quality items or just polishing the trigger at home. I hunt with my ARs, and while this isn't a combat situation I feel that being out hunting either walking or sitting in a stand presents issues that people would actually face in a combat or SHTF situation. But specifically for the ambi safety I find that it is near impossible to switch the safety back on without first unshouldering the rifle and taking my rifle off target. So with the ambi I can keep my rifle on my target and just use my trigger finger to reengage the safety. The ambi charging handle is great because I can use my right hand to charge the rifle which actually creates less perceived motion by anything or anyone looking at me as I don't have to remove my hand from the foregrip to charge. Plus it's just an added hand to use if for some reason the left hand is not functioning or the left side of the rifle is not immediately accessible, for example of my left hand was injured or the rifle was laying on a surface and I wanted to charge it as it lay without flipping the whole thing over. The trigger should just go without saying. I'm a really good shot, but evenso I've missed a head shot from very close because of a milspec trigger. And while sitting at a bench and really concentrating on the trigger pull can yield good groups, if even the mild excitement of a hunt and those real-world conditions combined with a bad trigger can cause an easy shot to miss, then how much more a combat situation??? Bottom line is if you get even a baseline AR from PSA or Radical or whatever, you can make it an incredibly efficient hunting rifle just by adding a good trigger, an ambi-charging handle, and an ambi-safety. And if with that rifle you can sneak through the woods, navigate obstacles, and squirm around your tree stand to get perfectly placed shots under less than ideal shooting positions, then I think that rifle will operate exceptionally under high stress combat situations as well.

Great list. Unfortunately, those that are working to remove our rights don't care about the Constitution... They are throwing everything at the wall and waiting for the courts to determine legality.

4:30. As far as AI job application screenings, the Veterans Administration does this for hiring. The trick is, when you write your cover letter for a position, you have to read the job description, and pull key, buzzwords out of the job description and weave them into your cover letter. Words like "fast-paced", "customer-service", "motivated", etc. If you don't do that, likely your application will automatically get kicked to the curb. Other companies use this technique as well.

USC Title 18 sections 241-242 says government isn't allowed to have weapons let alone use them on The People. They don't care what you know as long as the majority have gone through government indoctrination camps and don't look/critically think much further than that. Not trying to deter, but you're gonna need to work on the The People as much, if not more, than you work on yourself.

So your "Primary" is essentially the first thing you're going to reach for hence why a pistol is most people's actual primaries and why a lot of dudes have been in combat kinda look at the whole to get to my rigle thing as a joke. My general rule of thumb is stockpiling ball ammo is fine, just make sure it's worth it. You should realistically unless you're rich or shooting a shit ton only have about 6 mags worth of defensive JHP's. You bulk should be good ball ammo like some higher grain ball ammo from someone with a good track record like federal. Take you main carry mag to the range and dump those out just to make sure you're not getting stuck with a bad load. If you have enough money to stock 3k+ rounds make sure they're higher quality like federal ball, and don't bulk but blazer unless its solely range ammo. Same applies to all calibers. Make sure to at least shoot some of your stock every 6-9 months. A lot of people have a shit ton of Winchester white box 5.56 ammo bulk stocked and the quality has gone down a lot so the may not even be able to trust the several thousand rounds they have stocked.

Ambidextrous safety is truly useful; "thumb" it off from the left side, and "knuckle" it on from the right side. Agree, however, that it is certainly possible to pay too much for your parts. 😎 Get a pistol-sized red dot sight for the same money as backup irons. Get a wonderful LaRue MBT trigger upgrade on sale for $80 or Schmidt (also source for ambi safety). Aero Precision BREACH charging handle for $85 is, admittedly, a luxury but slightly larger size is great.
