I grew up shooting the old Revelation .22 stuff, shorts and LR, mainly because granddad was, let's just say frugal. We'd go into town (Cairo, GA) on a Saturday and stop by the Western Auto so he could get whatever supplies he was needing, and if he was feeling generous he might pop for a 50 cent box of 50. He'd complain about it and try to talk 'em down though. He'd tell me for that price I better kill 2 squirrels for every shot. If he could see what that stuff costs now I don't know how many he'd expect with one shot. Sure miss him though. The miles we walked through the south Georgia woods together I won't never forget. Watching you and Brody brings back a lot of memories.

I like looks of the little lead slinger. I looked online at them . The one i saw had a wire style stock. Your stock is a better option.

I started using clear finger nail polish on those small firearm screws to help lock them in place. It works well for me and will still allow a fellow to loosen if needed.

I’ve got to get me one of those. We use to shoot matches and you can buy the cheaper bullets and get a set of digital scales and way each bullet and place in piles the bullets that weigh close to the same with each other and it made a huge difference you can also buy a little rim gauge that measures the rim to make them all the same. Then you can drive tacks with it

On nuts and bolts that are not in a high heat position I use Teflon tape( plumbing thread tape among other names) instead of locktight

Nowadays you have to dial the scope into the ammo the rifle shoots best. It's weird even if you use the same grain bullet how much different brands shoot in different guns.

I also use clear fingernail polish for those little screws, and speaking of winchester . I don't have any gun that will shoot winchester accurately. I am not a professional shooter neither I am old and shaky now but pretty good with shooting groups off the bench.,, and I may be the only one but I just don't have any luck wirh winchester.

Hey Justin! Brody is going to get him a great "First Real Rifle", few years down the road from now. No small game will be safe... when that happens! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! In the meantime... he can continue to develop those "Safe Habits" with his slingshot, BB gun, and/or bow, under the careful eyes of his Dad, Grandfathers, and Ol' Roscoe! Let the Good Times Roll! My brother has a rather extensive collection of dremel drills because of the same thing that happened to your stapler gun! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Take Care And I'll See You Down The Trail!

22's and smoke poles..is there anything else? Neat little rifle. If you could find lower scope mounts I think it might group a little better. You are getting a 'chin' weld instead of a 'cheek' weld on the stock. That does make a difference. It would be neat to have a (as a customer at the store called it once ) "compressor" on that threaded barrel. I just always hated the thought of having to give the government 200 beaver plews just so I could own one.
