Oh my gosh... I can feel your pain in my heart! I’ve been there.. No pressure like a wedding... luckily your instincts are so spot on as an artist.. and it’s okay to take responsibility, as long as you grow from it and don’t leave it on your heart too long.

Just got a RZ. It wasn't a wedding but I went to the F1 with my OM1 and shot about 20 shots before I worked out there was no film loaded. Fun times

Man, I knew exactly what the problem was before you told us because I’ve done the same thing 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Thankfully it wasn’t a client, just some friend’s kids but to this day I have those scenes in my mind.

Oh yeah. I am way more paranoid now that it happened with a client. But hey we live and we learn!

The evil dark slide has bit me on many occasion.

And now just imagine how it was back in the day with digital photography still deep in the realm of science fiction, and especially if you could afford only one camera. And on top of that imagine that camera wasn't new but used. It was like playing Russian roulette every single time. Now if you had a brand new camera and you started to use it out of the box without double checking everything, yep, than it was definitely your fault...

Oh I could imagine. Definitely blessed to have backups for cases like this, but still scary nonetheless!

sam exact thing happened to me but i accidentally put it in manual mode, so it didnt tell me about the slide being in, but thank goodness it wasn't a wedding so was able to re shoot aahha

A really odd fault- never had this happen with either of my RZ bodies. Hopefully it can be sorted. I always double up on important shoots because even the best pro labs get it wrong sometimes and memory cards can fail. Thanks for posting this - lesson learned the hard way.

trust me Im just as surprised with it as you are! Really happy with my decision to double up, you're right. Always on the safe side even with the smallest of shoots. Thanks for the comment!
