I always saw these Ats-V's as the true spritual successor to the Grand National. Sure it wasnt beating everything in a 1/4 mile, but the basic recipe of the car is there.

Huge ATS fan. It wore the design language extremely well.

It's interesting how people are showing this car so much love, because when it was new, everyone slammed the interior and wanted the 6.2 liter v8 from the Camaro in it at the time. Just proves that us car enthusiasts only love cars when it's used.

After researching Zack, this turbo 3.6 in this ATS-V is actually the same as the N/A in the Traverse/Acadia etc. But some minor changes done to it and the turbos added. This is the LF4 version of the 3.6 and the Traverse/Acadia have the LLT. The 2nd gen Equinox, the LFX version. All of them the same family and block.

These were actually quite similar to the Camaro. They were built on the same GM Alpha platform. The Camaro was a little lower and wider, but their dimensions were fairly similar. This also had a different engine, of course. So you could think of it as a luxury Camaro with a turbo V6 instead of a V8.

Camaro was built after the ats so the Camaro is similar to the ats. Ats was the original alpha.

I love personal coupes. I've owned 4 or 5. Most of them were manual. I now have an suv for more practicality & cargo. But I wouldn't mind a coupe for a 2nd car again.

I own a ATSV sedan 2016. Has all the packages (HUD, track package, carbon package, etc) Great cars. Mines a manual and has 140k miles lol

Thinking about buying one how’s the back seat? I’m about 70inchs tall and my wife about 64 ( 5’10 and roughly 5’6) need a decent enough back seat to pass her inspection 😅

A great looking car Zack. In New South Wales Australia, the highway patrol cops drove Cadillac CTS 300 sedans after General Motors Holden stopped local production of the Holden Commodore V8, and Ford ceased production of the Falcon V8 as well in 2017. I've spent most of the last seven years in Mindanao Philippines, as I live with my Filipina wife in Cagayan de Oro City Mindanao. Spending a few months in Australia in my hometown in New South Wales in 2019, and nine months in 2023, I was surprised to see the highway patrol cops driving the sedan version of these. Obviously, they were good for chasing down offenders. So good looking too.

When GM wants to build a good car, they can build one. It's a shame they so rarely turn their engineers loose. Cadillac could be the Standard of the World again if only GM would stop being so cheap and boring. That's not a tank, it's an M113 armored personnel carrier.

You don't need a luxury car before 2018 to get a back up camera as many manufactures had already started offering them

GM has stopped making coupes & sedans. They killed all their car brands after their 2009 bankruptcy. Many other manufactures have also stopped making coupes including Honda as they have becoming less popular then sedans
