i feel like the Arcadia has kinda lost it's idenity.. this generation of them at least to me kind of seems alot like a throw back to the 3rd gen Yukon/Tahoe standard length not the XL's

It's the GM way. Cheap materials, hard plastic, hard leather, and dull design. It might be excusable in a Malibu but not in a GMC or Buick that costs twice as much. GM cars only sell because GM has been around so long and has name recognition.

That interior wouldn't be out of place in a Malibu that costs half as much. GM doesn't try to design. Their cars are dull with cheap materials. Every GM I've been in for the last 15 years have the least comfortable seats I've ever sat on. GM doesn't try because they don't have to, people buy GM cars because they've always bought GM cars and don't see a reason to change. For what this costs you could get a fully loaded Highlander hybrid and have a nicer SUV with money left over. Like you said, against a Mazda CX-9, a Subaru Ascent, or a modestly trimmed Grand Cherokee L the value proposition just isn't there. I like the squared-off front and big chrome grille but that's about it.

GM in general drops the ball on interiors. Hard plastics, dull design, and cheap materials. I haven't been in a Cadillac recently but Buick and GMC interiors feel like a nice Malibu. For the price it should be better.

@@bwofficial1776 I can't recall any Buick interiors but looking at Cadillacs online they do look fairly nice. I don't understand how so much effort gets thrown to Caddy for deisgn yet Chevy and GMC still look like trash.
