Testing H&N Slugs in the AEA HP Varmint .25 cal

Thank you for this video I bought this gun after watching video , mine loves the 27.47gr barracudas I know they are not slugs but I like availability of ammo. And lower price. Thank you for a high quality video , so is poor folk can spend our money wisely. Just a note after 7 shots mine would not hold pressure, after calling seller , Terry sent me the correct part , it hold pressure indefinitely. I have used this gun hard for over a year it is truely a awesome gun. Everything you said is true thanks for the honest video, your awesomeness

Curious... I have the AEA .25 Varmint and the owners manual says not to run anything larger than 34gr or the warranty is void. ???

Your getting some pretty tight groups without having to compensate for any crosswind. It looks real windy that day . I just ordered the Hp varmint. I also placed an order for five different pellets and slugs. I ordered a Sniper brand scope for it . Hopefully everything will be in my hands by next weekend.

Did you ever do a decibel sound test on this Varmint.25 . I’m curious about it . The video makes it sound pretty quiet without a moderator on it .

I love my Varmint. But I was not able to shoot the .25 31.8 grain slugs by AV. I will try the H&Ns and see how they do. It seems the AirV pellets almost fall through the barrel.

Nice rifle. Single stage non adjustable trigger may have a learning curve. What do you do if you don't like it??

I do like it. the trigger isn’t perfect especially if you are thinking that your gonna go shoot 100 yards competition. for hunting and general shooting I have not had a problem with it.

I have the same gun for the money you can't beat this gun. As far the trigger I put the lightest trigger springs in it and polished the sears factory is too heavy for me 7 lbs I got it down to 3 lbs now.

@@danieldyck2576 That's the way to go. I don't have the skills for that procedure. The AEA ELEMENT I have has a light trigger that works for me. Tomorrow my AEA Challenger 30 cal. 32 inch barrel and high output transfer port arrives. I hope the trigger is not 7 pounds. For me hunting under 50 yards the trigger is less important for hogs. The FPE is 150fpe. Hogs will not be happy 😒

Stedy One I'm not familiar with the Challenger but the varmint is a very easy gun to work on it's a pretty easy procedure on putting the springs in

The H&N Grizzly and Rabbit Magnum are slugs but not anything like the new H&N slugs that they’re producing as of last year. Very few of us have had the opportunity to test these in .25. They’re just rolling out here in the USA and worth a try. Apples and oranges to the Grizzly and Rabbit Magnum but much, much better. If you like H&N, definitely give these a try, they’re pretty sweet! Stoti

I have the 25 cal semi-auto SS and I have no complaints, I have ’t had a chance to shoot it past 20 yards but the thing is surprisingly accurate at that distance, and for the record I did not get mine for free.
