Man seeing American bookstores is just always so interesting. We have a few big ones but I'd have to travel a long time by train to go to them. Also, manga in stores is often more expensive than online for me. The one in my city had the last time I went there 6 volumes of manga in total, including translated Pokémon... It's enjoyable to see a store with so much manga!

Yeah things are def different. I have a bunch of manga shops around me but US is big so some people have none close. Hope online becomes cheaper fo you sometime!

I go to that Barnes & Noble‘s and I completely agree with you, they hardly have any new releases there. It sucks because back then, they always were up with the new releases but now, I don’t know what happened.

I've actually put manga a hold for a little while so I can read through Brandon Sanderson's entire cosmere. Its MIND-BLOWINGLY good. Absolutely could not recommend it enough.

I've read the first 3 mistborn books which everyone recommends to start-even the author. I don't wanna say too much other than its just a good time, and an all around solid story. Became my favorite instantly. So far anyway; The stormlight archive is his main work and I haven't even started those CHONKERS yet. Can't wait though.😁

I just now finished one of his stand alone novels called WarBreaker. It may be the case that I'm just easily entertained but this one was incredible too. I assume way of kings is next for me too. Maybe I'll check back with you in 8 months when I'm halfway done.🫡😂

I read hellbound, it has 2 books, the first one was more than amazing in my opinion and it was defenetly a good read, the second one was a bit of a let down tho, it wasnt as interesting and shocking as the first it was like a "meh" experience but it was good enough to read it once

Unholy Blood is really good imo, though I havent read it in years mainly because I stopped reading stuff on the webtoon app but I will say I read it from the 1st chapter till the last and it was amazing, the art is too 🐟👍

You picked some good one there! They both have small box sets that I recommend. Especially for orange since more is added and the book quality it way way better!

For your sake, don't start Name of the Wind. The author just is not writing the final book. It's a game of thrones situation, where it's been like a decade or so.
