You go girl! Some people have thousands of pairs of shoes and I know which I would choose too! Enjoyed the rant though it made me laugh. Just wanna say that I was never a Kerby girl until I tried one and then I got addicted to the books. They seem intimidating but once you do one you won’t look back. The trick is to block colour with paint then detail with pencils.

Hi Lily, i have 54 colouringbooks and in coloured in 11 books. A lot of them scared the hack out of me so i make a list of the books and with a random number generator i pick a book and i am coloring in that one. The first i picked was from Johanna Basford: Magical Jungle. And you know what? It came out so beautifull. I am so proud of myself! I see you have also a scary shelf but you can definitely do it, i saw your colouring with pencils!! Don’t let you down of people who always be nasty to others!!!! It is not worth it, just ignore it Lily!!

I do several crafty hobbies and I have a lot of ALL of them😂. I had to move into a new room because I outgrew my first one😳 Well, not diamond painting… I usually only have one of those at a time. I absolutely am loving your shop my stash videos they’re honestly brilliant . I’m so glad you picked the Arrtx because they work soooo well in Johanna Basfords book . I’m really shocked that you’re getting judgey comments , I find it baffling, just like you I barely have any makeup, I buy very few clothes and love the clothes and shoes I have and wear / mend them until they die . Colouring and painting have always been the thing for me that just makes me feel alive , even on the walk to work I look at things differently, what do those leaves look like , what colours would I use , how can I recreate the glow from sunshine etc etc . How lucky are we to have a passion and a way to express creativity and lose ourselves in art . I have about 15 sets of pencils , who cares …… 🤷‍♀️, why does anyone care ! I found that mixed media works really well in Kerby Rosanes books and makes the process much faster and more satisfying and Beautiful! I only have 6 -7 coloring books - but I wish I had many more. I have 4 sets of colored pencils 3 sets of water color pencils, 2 sets of soft pastels, 1 24 pc. set of pastel pencils, 2 small sets of oil pastels, 5 sets of water color, 2 sets of water color brush pens, 1 set acrylic markers, 1 set acrylic paints, 1 set gouache water color paints, oil tube paints, brushes, 1 set fineliners, 1 set graphite pencils, 1 set charcoal pencils, 3 water soluble graphite pencils , 4 white posca pens, a 6 pc. set of Derwent black/white artist pencils, blender pencils, a 6 pc. portrait set of Derwent Coloursoft pencils + various singles of graphite, charcoal and artist drawing pencils and pens + 8 sketch books and 12+ pads of various papers. I'm always wanting to try something different. I'm disabled so my art and coloring keeps me grounded and helps me keep some of my fine motor control. Also helps keep me from depression. I feel it's your right to spend YOUR money where YOU wish and no one else's. If I could I would have that many color books also.

I Had That Wondermorphia 1 think called butterflies coming out of a skull, husband said no way you will be able to do that, an kept saying it, So I gave it away. He may of been right but I May of been able to do it, I think I am getting better, I colour every day that I'm not in real bad pain. I do try really hard, yes I know I am not great no where near as good as you or emmacolours2020 your both amazing. It's so frustrating feeling I am just never going get better. AND there are plenty of us with huge stashes. I have dozens of sets of markers and pencils. Loads of coloring books, paints, materials to paint on and then a metric ton (quite possibly a minor exaggeration there) of toy parts to make toys for parrots. My craft room/office BARELY has room for the office part. hahahaha!!!

I am having some building work done so going to have to a pick a book and a set of pencils to use, whilst the others are packed away, it’s a hard decision and I don’t even have that many 🙄. That's a good idea, one book, one set of pencils! I think some people might have a trap door where monthly hauls disappear into, whereas mine pile up on the floor for me to trip over 😆

If I did videos about my HOBBIES, I could only imagine what the trolls would say.. Because I have almost a full wall of book shelves JUST for COLORING BOOKS. Then other hobbies such as Diamond painting, Sewing, miniature building in half scale.. and my newest hobby is LEGOS, which took me out of my craft room into another room because I had no more room.. 😂 my craft room is 13x13 FEET.. 😂 I am fortunate enough where I was able to retire early, n my hubby has a great job and he supports my hobbies and contributes to my hobbies. What a great concept to colour in your own books. I have way more books than you so poo on the haters. I love to colour and make no excuses for it. I have recently been looking in my own books and trying to pull out stuff I haven't coloured in yet. I have all of Kerby's books too. I tend to use them for learning new techniques. I am trying to experiment more with watercolour paints and pencils.

I know what you mean about the Kerby books. I bought a couple recently because I'd seen so many beautiful completed pages on KZbin and it inspired me. It's the one of the reasons I started colouring on my channel, to share with like-minded people in the colouring community! I have a friend (a real one 😆) and she colours too and she came round when I had two cubes of books and said, "wow! why do you need more than one colouring book?". I still think this way of sorting your books & choosing just a few to work in for the month is such a great idea. I hope you have time to do some fun coloring! It will be interesting to see if you change your sorting & what you do instead too. You really don't have all that much stuff, so I don't know why anyone would tell you that you need to get rid of more. It's your money, your space fill it up with as much as you want. I don't see the negative comments, maybe I miss them, maybe you delete them, but if anyone want to say someone has too much stuff they should really be looking at other people. I have seen several with a lot more than you have. It doesn't matter what they have either, still their money-their space. I hope you have fun in the Kerby book. I have a lot of them & they intimidate me-I don't want to mess them up. I do prefer his older books, the new ones seem to have a lot more monster types in them. I also prefer the ones he did with little cute things in them. A lot of people can draw an impressive story monster but not many can make a great picture from lots of little things, it's like the mosaics I've seen made up from tiny pictures into 1 big thing. A lot of people try and mess it up too, great big things that don't belong is not the same. lol I feel a lot the same with Johanna Basford. I want to love every book she publishes but I really don't. I think I like her older books best too. I also wonder if I am the only one that thinks Hannah Lynn's eyes are odd. I have seen some studies a long time age, that people think pictures with larger pupils are more attractive (or something like that) and hers are so small. I even think I saw a Peanuts show where they talked about it and Snoopy went from squinty eyes really open wide and round. lol The pictures are interesting and I just make the pupils larger to suit me.

I know I have a fair amount of stuff but, like you, I've seen people with much more. I do delete most of the comments when people say I've got to much stuff, if they're rude. A couple I have left and reply back to. I agree about the Kerby books, his doodle books were cute! I also agree about Johanna Basford, in her newest book the pieces to colour were too small for me. World of Wonder was the same but not quite as bad. My favourite is World of Flowers. Thanks for watching and the lovely comment 🥰

I love Kerby and have coloured a lot of pages, but I know there are some of his pages I really don’t like and will never colour….I’ve finished one whole book so far (Worlds of Wonder by JB) but in all honesty I hated doing some of those pages. My husband said “for what they cost why are you worried about colouring every single page?” and when he put it that way it made a lot of sense 😂 So I’ve decided that if I like a decent proportion of pics I will keep it 👍 I have also decided there are some artists that are very popular and people colour beautifully that I just don’t enjoy the style and I am not going to buy…..(Hannah Lynn, Klara Markova and Hannah Karlzon etc shock horror 😂) all that to say horses for courses, once you’ve found your thing I reckon we should be like the Royal Family “never complain, never explain” hahaha! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this months selection - it really is a good way of working your stash and finding the favourites 👍
