Absolutely fantastic series, a must for anyone looking to start coding for games, which can feel just.... so.... overwhelming. The breakdown of complex subjects into achievable bite-sized chunks is perfect for beginners like me. Thank you! (PS. Any chance of a little crafting tutorial with this system too? maybe steak + steak = steak sandwich?)

Thanks for the shoutout! Glad to hear this format has worked well for people. No promises yet, but if the Shop system is successful, a crafting system does seem like a pretty natural extension. Thanks for the suggestion.

Deciding what font size to use with a 1080p canvas has been hard for me. Do feel 72 is a comfortable size for all text or just inventory text?
@NightRunStudio10 күн бұрын
I like the look of 72 in the inventory. It’s pretty massive for something like an item description but works for names or numbers. I’ll know for sure once I’ve playtested for hours and it starts to annoy me (or not)-that’s often the best test.

That’s awesome! My daughter is a teen, and I’ve had so much fun programming with her over the last couple of years. Enjoy!

We are still trying to figure out how to change sprite colours.
@NightRunStudio14 күн бұрын
@@totallyoffgrid3008 If you want to do that via code, you can set up a reference: [SerializeField] private Color newColor = Color.white; (This will let you select the colour in the inspector). Then, as long as you've made a reference to your sprite renderer, you can use: spriteRenderer.color = newColor; Hope that helps.
