Yeah, I love that stuff. I found that it comes in a variety of weights and I think I have 3 or 4 different ones. The thicker ones are great for sanding, keep the wood stationary, reduces noise and most of all doesn't mar the back of the wood. Thanks Roland for the vid !! Colin

Good tip Roland! I also used that stuff to line the drawers in my Craftsman tool chest. It works great from keeping wrenches, sockets, etc from sliding around in the drawers. Did you see Harbor Freight shared your pipe clamp video on their facebook page?

I know this comment is 6 years late but.. I bought some from a dollar store and they don’t hold my boards still while sanding with the orbital, much less the router. The ones I got were a little too cheap I guess, gonna try a different brand

the shelf liner I just bought for the same purpose slides all over as well. Must be the brand.

HA! I love your no nonsense attitude! I saw this mat when watching a Norm Abram video, and although it looked exactly like shelf matting, I thought it had to be made of some silicone-carbide-di-mythril adamantium compound.
