Thankyou, yeah it was so hard to research the "prior art" cause all the shop videos are for hobbyists, which is fine, but things change when you have to do production runs, etc.

For the life of me I could not put your voice with your work. And somehow I was not subscribed to your channel anymore. But as of tonight I'm proud to say that I'm back in boss. I have an Oliver 299d with an itch head, its one of the finest planers ever made, I would say the Whitney or Buss would be a little nicer but they are a much bigger machine, I love it

Awesome. Yeah if times were a little different I’d have gotten that 36 Whitney. Maybe some day.

@@Neverstopbuilding without the grinder its tough you need it to sharpen it, but they are still in business I don't know if you could have gotten one from them or not

@@adamchesis7443 yeah I looked into it a little, it was gonna end up being a big project and at the time/still i pretty much needed the tool to work out of the gate. It taught me to separate my woodworking business from my closely related hobby of fixing up old equipment.

The Oliver 299 is my favorite planer I’ve ever used, my high school woodshop had two of them, both with the itch head in it, nothing beats them out of what I’ve used so far

Very nice shop. I’m currently in need of a 20”+ planer but can’t justify it because I’m at max capacity in my shop. And I can’t believe there’s only 1500 views in a month. This is pure tool porn!

I really would love to see more of the automatic blast gates. We have the talent here to make the blast gates, but the arduino code is always the mystery part. Please pass on the code and design.
