2 years ago got my '60 with running 223 and 4 speed in Arizona for $1700, which is cheap. Bought a big window donor in New Mexico for $1200 on ebay. Sold a lot of stuff from donor and made all money back. Bought a running yblock, 4 speed and ram horns for $250 in Denver, worth the drive . I'm going the whole 9 yards restoring. Paint $ is gonna be the killer.

Damn. Exciting !!! I know I'm bench racing with your money, but when I saw that giant engine compartment, all I could think about was a 400M. I still see them in junkyards and they are torque monsters. They do not use a SBF bellhousing so that is an issue. Just thinking out loud. Nice find there. Yes, the forward swept A-pillars and windows are inspired.
@rdspeedfab
@rdspeedfab 3 жыл бұрын
Haha I don’t mind you spending my money at all!! I know zero about the 400M. I’ve always messed with the SBF series and I know a touch about the FE series because my dad messes with them. Nothing is out of the question at this point! Like I mentioned in the video, I’ll let the truck tell me what it wants 😆

@rdspeedfab I work on a 200 acre ranch, love to put my in 4x4 granny low, jump on the tail gate with my best friend, with Hank kicking out his top 10, drinking a 6 pak of Rainier Beer, haven't seen a irrigation ditch that will stop it. Everybody drives by waving, hey, where the driver at?🤣

Nice!! Man I’m stunned to find out you just made this video. I’m in Tempe,Az and I bought mine 3 months ago for $2,200. The owner was restoring it and ended buying everything from wire harness, interior,fuel tank, brake and fuel lines with clamps all the bushings all new glass with weather stops straighten and powder my frame and under bed and cab rebuilt diff with a book on how to build. It was an insane buy . The owner moved to Colorado and storage was getting expensive plus he said he lost interest. It was the patina look and the guy just gave it a clear coat on it.My dad restored his 1957 f100 in the 80s and sold it in the late 90s so you can imagine how it feels. I was scrolling looking for more info about my v8….good stuff man

I'm not in to lowering, but I have an idea. Cut the cab corners out th reverse them inside out. In that concave put exhaust stacks. Not Semi high, just cool.

@@drdjh2003 lot of moisture. If you can find a car that hasn’t sat under a tree covered in leaves, it’s usually ok. But most old vehicles get retired to the pasture down here. So we fix a lot of rust.
